Jay Says He’d Work With Oasis, Speaks On New Album

Jay told MTV that Noel Gallagher has tried reaching him and that he has no ill feelings towards him and he’d even work with Oasis (shocker!):
Jay told us he’s heard the guitarist wants to have a conversation.: “I haven’t spoken to him,” Jay said. “I heard he was reaching out, but I haven’t spoken to him.”. Jay even said he’s open to working with Oasis in the future should something suitable come up. “Anyone,” he answered, when asked about who he’d be willing to work with. “Oasis as well — it doesn’t matter to me, I don’t bear any grudge, it’s all good.
He also repeats the same shtick he’s been saying since he’s been over there, about there being no such thing as genres, that it’s all good music and bad music (presumably an epilogue to his new label situation):
I just believe in good music and bad music, I’ve always said that. You look at any interview from the beginning of time, I’ve always stated that I don’t believe in the lines and classifications that people put music in so they can easily define it.”
And finally, says that a new album might be in the works when he touches down:
Once his current string of performances is behind him, Jay is hoping to lock in on the production of his next album.”Well, after the tour, I’m going back home and we’ll look at it and see if I can start a project this year,” he said. “I would love to do it, to be honest with you. It would be a great thing to do when I come home from tour, but it’s vibe. I can’t say, ‘On this date this is going to happen.’ If I get home and the vibe is right, it’ll happen. If not, then top of next year.” “I can’t give you the concepts or themes, but I’ve got a very clear direction of where I want to go with this one, and we’ll see how it works.”
It’d be a good look if this album is more Kingdom Come, and less American Gangster, even though eskay would disagree.

Nah right.

I would love for Hov to drop and album with KC type content. Despite popular belief, the problem most had with KC wasnt Jay’s ‘maturation’, but the fact that as MUSIC, the album sucked. AG was certainly better, but I never liked the fact that he felt he had to lie to us about being influenced by disappointing movie, rather than just saying “I wanted to rap like Jay-Z again, even tho I’m clearly not that dude any more.”

Because the perspective on KC seemed more like what was really going on in Jay’s life at the time. Hov’s always been best when giving us yearly diary’s (pause) of his life. AC broke that chain, even tho (as I said) it was “musically” better than KC.

I was just listening to Kingdom Come i was thinking if Jay would have put Upgrade U and Black Republicans on kingdom instead of The song with Usher and the other song with B then that album would have been up there with some of his best….If you think about it Black Republicans fit better on hov’s album because he was on that corporate money talk ish and Hov could of added one more verse to Upgrade U and replaced that other Beyonce shit….Also if you listen to that album in depth you’ll realize that thats his most personal album with the song “Lost Ones” and “Minority Report”…..he also shitted on every dude under 30 with that 30’s the new 20 ish….On “Dig a Hole” He abused the whole Dipset without mentioning one of their names *Chuckles*…….Beach Chair makes me wanna a put a “Beach Chair” in my living room and “The Prelude” accurately describes what was going on in the game from 03 to 06…..I know thatnks for the review right but i just let the whole shyt plays this morning on the way to work…..truly inspirational music….. *Adjust Tie and Tucks in Shirt Accordingly*
Oh yea
The Bluprint is jays best album, thanks
July 4th, 2008 at 1:49 pm
As much as a jay stan as I am, black album is kinda overrated, but the black is borderline classic
AG > Black
Blueprint > Black
RD > Black
The first 4 songs are about him leaving the game, they sounded great at the time, but since he returned it took away from the feel of his retirement. Lucifer sounds like a buch of unorganized noise, & he went prodigy “imfamy” on us with some of the lyrics
The more you talk, the more you urking is, the more you gon need memorial servi-ces
99 problems is dope, but don’t ever play it with headphones, you wont have a face by the end of the second verse. But other than that, the album is sick.
Favorite song: Justify my thug
>>>Yo j88, where the new tracks at duke?
^Getting mixed down, soon as they are finished i’ll up em on nah right
July 4th, 2008 at 1:50 pm
>>I guess i just think AG rhymes were a lot better a little more complexed than what he had been doing the last few years
True. “American Gangster” is a great piece of material. I could really relate to it in a sense of the way he approached conveying the material.
But I could relate to “Kingdom Come” more. It was more of a sophisticated “swag” which was true to his life at the time and still is. Many people couldn’t feel it because it wasn’t them. I bet if he came with some other sh*t people would be like “Man, that ain’t you!!”. I guess it’s a catch 22.
Something tells me the next Hov albums will all be concept based. Which would be ill. [IMO]
It would make sense too because hes already done everything, so it would be hot to approach everything else with a creative artistic touch.

The-XFacta’s top 5 WACK rappers
(i don’t care how many records they sold)
1) Game - This was a tough choice but the butterfly tatoo, his change of heart appearance and his constant name dropping gave Game the top spot
2) T.I.- Claims to be a thug but is only 4′8″.. Got with the most busted chick in Escape (and talentless).. Now he is gonna be a thug who snitched to the Feds
3) Weezy - Kisses men! Actully not that bad of an mc he if just made more sense. Kisses men!
4) Tony Yayo - Yeah I’m a G-Unit fan but no amount of Stannism will make this dude a good mc.. Just carry Banks’ weed around and stop rhyming
5) Soulja Boy- Even my 12 year old son thinks he’s wack and that’s the demograph he’s trying to attract! Get out my face Trick!

July 4th, 2008 at 3:10 pm
American Gangster was unbelievably better than Kingdom Come, they’re not on the same level, and Kingdom Come sounded like he didn’t care half the time! now we know that’s not true but the rhyming just wasn’t there sometimes.
July 5th, 2008 at 3:07 pm
I call for a Blueprint 3.
I’m just sayin…
July 5th, 2008 at 6:04 pm
ok, i got to say, even tho alot wont agree …im with b-ease on:
Hard Knock Life = Jay Z’s best album.
The Blueprint def. i would put next, with The Black Album a close third
everyone hates on hard knock life cause it was the biggest commercial succesful album, but besides that .. HE WENT HARD ON IT!! (he def. went hard on blueprint also, but i dont think it quite had the effect of hard knock life on hiphop - even tho he murdered everything on the take over, ..that is untill either;P )
dont get me wrong… Reasonable Doubt, def. was a classic! but, i think he had something to prove after the first
i wasnt realy feeling american gangsta like that.. it was good, but i guess what alot of people were saying kingdom come was more realistic to an older crowd… 30’s the new 20! (ha, dont know bout that tho…) i def think he rymed with a little more effort on american gangster tho..
July 5th, 2008 at 6:07 pm
-yeah, game aint wack.. but he def. aint a strong rapper…
production mostly carries him.
