^As much as I love it up north, that’s a major downfall for me. It’s nothing wrong with a culturally diverse environment because you get to learn about other cultures. But many times our own children aren’t gettin’ the necessary information that they need to know about our own culture. But the fucked up part is that B’more, as Black as a city it is, has no cultural foundation. You don’t see Nubian culture prevalent anywhere even though we’re populated with over 50+% Blacks. And we’re some poor-ass conservatives who are afraid to branch out and be different until someone from somewhere else says it’s ok. I was just talkin’ with one of my old heads and he was sayin’ how it’s a “strange spirit” here that harbors over the city. Nobody is receptive of anything culturally or intellecutally beneficial to our people. Shits crazy man. All the older homies (from other places) say that this place is “strange.” And I know exactly what they mean.

^I’m going out on a limb here, but in the late 80’s baltimore population was 110% black.

^Word. White people didn’t start migrating back to the city until about the mid 90′s. Now they’re about 35 to 40-somethin’ % of the population. As gentrification continues, it’ll be more of them than us in B’more by the year 2020. Or at least about even.

^This is B’more city. A BLACK city. We have about a 1% Latino population. What do you mean “get away” with? It was approved by our city boards and superintendents. Your “culturally diverse” demographic doesn’t allow it for that reason.
