YES….I am defending Soulja boy, because 80 percent of the people who can’t stand him or says he can’t rap are emotional based, mad cause their hip-hop is dead, and very snobbist and elitist when it comes to the rap that they like.

And what they don’t realize that what they are saying is NO different than what Past Generations have said about the music that they love and cherish….Ex. When Jazz first came about…Classical music lovers loathed it and called it a perversion of music and said that Jazz was a farce….And Really Jazz is an offshoot of Classical music…..Now Jazz is regarded as one of the great music period pieces of our time….It’s the only festival where all races and ethnicities gather around for a festivity.

More ex… Of not knowing history, you will bound to repeat it in the future to come…

Ok so Soulja boy is good for the type of music he makes but hes still a rapper, Patti labelle & Metallica are two different genre’s of music so that doesnt apply to soulja boy being compared to nas and jay-z…..plus when a general question is asked about how good a rapper is niggas arent gonna say hes good for the type of music he makes their gonna comapre him to rappers period….smell me? True, But Metallica and Patti Labelle both sing…..Rap is an act of communicating just like singing…..All rappers aren’t hip-hop artists….Sweet honey in the rock has a member that raps…..Linkin park has a member who raps….

This is not a reference to you personally, but a Lot of these old cats are mad because their type of sounding music is not Popular anymore and a different type of Rap has emerged…..Soulja boy’s type of rap has taken over in the mainstream whether we like or not but somebody likes it….I predict he will be the architect of the style of rap he does…and soon many will follow…
