I been repping Pun since that one song with Raekwon off that one Fat Joe album (NOT John Blaze/Don Cartagena). But, as great as Capitol Punishment was lyrically and production wise, nothing about it was truly “groundbreaking” content wise (yea, I know that word is subjective), and Yeah Baby sucked ass. Top 10 lyricists of all time? Yea. Period? Cant do it.

I’ll give you that. Pun walked the tightrope of dope lyricist and commercial rapper as well as anyone before or since. On your other point, N.O.R.E and The War Report are both as playable now (if not more so) then they were in ’98. So, by that logic, Noreaga should be top 5? Of course not. Pun was an amazing lyricist that made a classic album. Thats fantastic, but not enough for GOAT status.

Those songs sucked. But “That Nigga Shit” WAS hilarious, and there’s no denying NY Giants. I just remember alot of the album being weird syth beats with borderline horrocore lyrics and a Pun that was CLEARLY having breathing problems. On that note, the first Terror Squad album was my shit.
