@Blackzilla: The death of hip hop falls on two parts: Puff and Big & the music business. Puff & Big were the first to come with that flashy shit and make number one hits. The difference between then and now is Big could actually rap and Puff knew some people who could actually write his raps. The music business (a.k.a. some Tall Isrealis) caught wind of this and knew if they pushed the commercial appeal forward it would take over. Then comes Eminem, Nelly, 50 Cent, etc. and here we stand today. The average rap CD sucks so bad now, people don’t wanna buy any. Its June and the only respectable CD to drop so far has been Rising Down so that should show you something. Don’t expect rap to live past 2013.

Man I totally agree with u about the Jews takin’ over (no anti-semitism) & Biggie & Puff started a trend but the problem with the industry is that its so profit-driven that they gotta make clones and shit. Biggie and Puff had the skills though to make hits, you can’t deny it. But the industry is filled with copycats and shit. If they hadn’t put their control on the music we would be looking at whole different rap game today

a. Hip hop will not live past 2013 but rap will. As you said “it will just will be in a very different form.” Hip hop is damn near gone already and most hip hop artists are already too “old” in most fans eyes.

b. Not to take anything away from Em (upon further review he did make my top ten), but sometimes his shit was too poppy. “Just Lose It”, “When I’m Gone”, “You Don’t Know” are just a few examples. But if you insist, I’ll exempt him form my rant.
