3- Is anyone else feeling like NaS might be onto something fuckin’ huge with the mixtape and upcoming album? I was watching the “Be a nigger too” video just now and the shit is just extra-powerful. I don’t even know why people are sucking Wayne’s dick all crazy when NaS is A) an infinitely better lyricist than Weasel F Fraggle will ever be, and B) Making a statement that goes beyond “IiIi uUusE aA vVocOoDerErER”.

im not wayne’s biggest fan and i’ve heard only a couple other things hes done but some of the c3 music is really pretty good… im not gonna go out and buy the album but i have some respect for wayne and what he’s doing…
The Nas stan in me (none) has pointed out that the second verse of Association is recyled from two different tracks, Lifes Gone Down & She Don’t Remix, still bangs regardless though.
Stic Man always spitting nicely on features, got a Saigon track from a couple years back which is fire.
I went over this last nite.. I’d feel the same way about Wayne if he had Graduation vs Curtis hype or if he had Dylan Solo Album hype. Dude is just not that good. Does he have some talent? Of course. He’s an entertaining guy, but I wouldn’t consider him a serious artist or a good lyricist. Soooo, when there are legit lyricists (this thing used to be about rappin’ talent, remember?) being ignored so people can heap lyrical praise on Wayne, it’s even more frustrating.
I think Wayne is like The Emperor’s New Clothes.. So many people have been on the bandwagon for no other reason than a buncha obviously delusional wayne stains (no typo) proclaimed him to be the best, and at the time he was doing it he hadn’t blown up commercially, so the mags and the hipsters and whatnot went rigt on in and said “Yeah! Yeah, wayne’s great!” and more people fell in line so that they could go along with the trend and not appear to be left behind.
^I know right, & I think she know, that I know, that she got some good over there, first I be like I aint talking to this bitch no more, then she call like 2 weeks later with that soft voice, & I end up telling her to come thru, next week, I got the nigga from menace (shorty brother) calling me like “why you dog her out?” I promise i’m never anwsering her phone calls again

Dude clearly aint balling like thaaaaaaaat. Shit Odom is his boss and he aint balling like that.
So why not release single/video that’s more creative (than fake ballers and rented whips)., that shows off his lyrical ability, and thats got a theme/concept. It’s like he’s trying to slide into same-old, same-old obscurity. I havnt seen one thing out of his camp that makes anyone pay attention and thats a fucking shame.
