The Nas stan in me (none) has pointed out that the second verse of Association is recyled from two different tracks, Lifes Gone Down & She Don’t Remix, still bangs regardless though.

I went over this last nite.. I’d feel the same way about Wayne if he had Graduation vs Curtis hype or if he had Dylan Solo Album hype. Dude is just not that good. Does he have some talent? Of course. He’s an entertaining guy, but I wouldn’t consider him a serious artist or a good lyricist. Soooo, when there are legit lyricists (this thing used to be about rappin’ talent, remember?) being ignored so people can heap lyrical praise on Wayne, it’s even more frustrating.

I think Wayne is like The Emperor’s New Clothes.. So many people have been on the bandwagon for no other reason than a buncha obviously delusional wayne stains (no typo) proclaimed him to be the best, and at the time he was doing it he hadn’t blown up commercially, so the mags and the hipsters and whatnot went rigt on in and said “Yeah! Yeah, wayne’s great!” and more people fell in line so that they could go along with the trend and not appear to be left behind.

But sorry, the emperor’s butt ass naked. [||]
