And I’m not saying that we have. I’m not that naive Land. All I’m saying is that we get into conversations about the brutality in this country, I PERSONALLY cannot sit up here and say that I’ve experience the brutality that my father went through, that my grandmother went through. They always say to me “You have NO idea what we went through” Why lay claim to discrimination that I have never experienced as a Black woman in this country?

Yes, racism still exists. Yes, inequality still exists. Yes, the slavery mentality still exists. We all know this. It just bothers me to see people, younger people like myself, claim to experience the injustices that our forefathers fought tirelessly for us to NOT have to experience today.
