   growing up in the hood, of course most of us acted a certin way, dressed a certin way, talked a certin way…..

   so when i would come around my family my family would say oo you wanna be black…ahh ahh ahh

   then in the streets i would always hear black cats talking about ‘’these spanish niggas wanna be black’’

   do you see it as that or do you see that, spanish people wanting to be black??

   or do we just act hood/ghetto??

   ^To be honest, a lot of the ignorance comes from not overstanding that Hispanics are of the African seed. This is why I often scowl at how some of the Puerto Ricans are quick to claim their nationality before their own physical identiy. Albeit, there are some euro-Ricans, euro-Minicans, euro-Cubans, etc. But they are only a small fraction of the total populous. Every aspect of Hispanic culture from the music down to the foods are mostly West Indian/African based. I also overstand that many Hispanics would rather embrace their own identity rather than someone else’s which every ethnicty should do. But when we trace the roots, then one must confess that it is hard to “act” like what you naturally. Sure, the hair texture and physical demensions may vary dependin’ on the family tree (genetics). But most aspects of the culture were learned from their ancestors, Egyptians (Africans). It’s no different than a Black person who grows up in a predominately white neighborhood. He will usually conform to the actions and culture of whites, but that can’t change who he is or who is SUPPOSED to be. Big Pun, Fat Joseph, Beat Nuts, Tony Touch, etc. are all seen as brothas, yet we allow them to openly embrace their heritage. It shouldn’t be any different in your household or amongst friends. Get an overstanding of who you are (genetically) and it will all make sense.

   To this day I still refuse to listen to Young Hot. I saw a partial Youtube clip and his name popped up and I said oh helllllll nah.

   Chic Raw did an interview with Fader last year. How he is still breathin’ in the streets of Philly is beyond me.

   Reed Dollaz should been came up.

   Meek is on his way (and probably the youngest).

   And I haven’t listened to Joey Jihad since he got knocked out. Yeah, it was a sucka move, but still.
