People,
I’m a have to be truthful….Bonethugs fanbase is larger than MOP…..MOP is not that well known…..Mostly in the tri-state area……Nothing wrong with being a bone fan, they got some certified hits as does MOP…..
…. maybe I completely disagree with that because I’m in the tri-state but I do not know one person on this planet in the tri-state or out of the tri-state that has listened to a bone thugs song in at least a decade, so I can’t agree, M.O.P. still has made fans yeah they are all in their late 20’s early 30’s and lots of them are scattered throughout rap but they still have their old fans Bone thugs was a gimmick they were a poppy fad, they are an answer in trival pursuit undr the one hit wonder category come on give me a break first of the month and missing your uncles charles thats what they are most remembered for, ask anyone besides pheonixxx when the last time they played a bone thugs record gtfoh …
____________________________________________________________
what?…..Bone had wayyyy more hits than MOP….Bone is not a one hit wonder group…..they were an underground street group that used harmony before eazy E discovered them….
thuggish ruggish bone
first of the month
cross roads
breakdown
look into my eyes
joints with phil collins
Bone and biggie joint (fire)
thug love ft. tupac (fire)
Bone has 4 multiplatinum albums…they were not a gimmick by all means or biggie or Pac wouldn’t have rapped with them….
But No one is listening to Bone like that anymore

In my view Bone was ” hot ” ( none of course ) around when I was like 12, they had like 3 or 4 catchy sing songy songs that everyone liked no doubt but that was it after that it was flop after disappointment after flop after disappointment, bone thugs might as well have been kriss kross or ABC or fucking skee-lo as far as I’m concerned they will never be anything more or anything less
maybe it’s an east coast bias but I don’t know anyone I have ever met anywhere that would even slightly argue that with me so it is what it is

Big daddy kane….was like a bridge from the old school to the new school and he can still spit…..He killed that one song on Big L’s album….
I’m talking about cats like RunDMC, kool moe dee, curtis blow and all them….shit was good for that time, but I don’t hardly know anyone who still bumping that shit…..like they do an old jay or nas or mobb deep.
June 3rd, 2008 at 2:28 pm
“The Message” should be required listening in every school and should still be bumped if m.f.’s like well crafted, descriptive, emotive writing. its better than more than half the shit that ever, and I mean ever, came out of hip hop. only pac was better at conveying the emotion of struggle than that one song.
other than that… old X-Clan still bangs, old Ice Cube and NWA still Bangs, and Doug E Fresh “Rising to the Top” is an eternal anthem. A lot of old shit still bangs. Us old heads need to get high (like hopefully we weren’t doing in 6th grade) and listen to alot of that shit again. you might be surprised. PRT, 3XDope, K-Solo, Masta Ace, BDP, shit still bang man.
