    I went to go play ball a few weeks ago, for the 1st time in months. and I remember why I hate it. Dudes is jacking up shots, dont know the subtlety’s of team defense, boxing out, making an extra pass. The only good thing I heard was ‘Thats my older cousin Farouq he plays like an old man’ that shit right there made me smile ……. but the whole balling thing on the basketball court with the young’ns is no longer for me. So I fuck with the Pitch and thats it. Mad older dudes in the park footballing and its mad beautiful

    **That reminds me of this incident, back in the day—me and my cuz, and his boy worked at this clothing store @ the mall, and were flagrantly “borrowing” the inventory…the store owner called us out on it, and we denied it like shit, but my cuzzo’s boy, who was dumb enough to WEAR THE GAFFLED GEAR TO WORK got called out by the owner, who was, like “man, I don’t have time for y’alls fucking lying—THIIIIIIIS NIGGA got the shit on right now”…Ol’ boy responds all incredulous and shit, like “WHAT? NIGGAS CAN’T HAVE NO JEANS?!?”…even though we were cold busted (c) Oran Juice Jones), niggas broke out laughing, right then and there..

    I was lucky in my old neighborhood there was a group of about 10-15 cats all older than 30 who played 2-3 times a week…they could ball too, but yeah definitely better than playin’ with the youngin’s. At the rec centers you could get stuck playing with cats in jean shorts, cats tryin’ and 1 moves dribbling for thirty five seconds at a time only to brick j’s…
