Yo rigz what do people in the UK think about southern rap? Just wondering since most of the hip/hop grime there is totally different and more lyrics and less flash I wouldn’t expect people to embrace southern shit there.

Obviously, you got some Boom-Bap purists that hate the shit but on a STREET level, it gets bare love. Not just recently either.

Theres always been a link between South music & UK music since Miami Bass days…We used to dig No Limit, Cash Money, UGK…They sound closer to us than Primo

We both love bass-driven bounce / club music (See: Grime, DubStep Jungle, D&B, Funky House, Bassline/Niche, etc)

Plus the dances get love out here too. Remember, we’re more Yard culture than 94 Hip-Hop culture, so dancing is second nature to us. Its not suprising to see a gunman on the dancefloor skanking
