A representative for Def Jam has confirmed to EW.com that hip-hop artist Nas has made an eleventh-hour decision to change the title of his new album from N—– to simply Nas.
It’s not really a surprise that all that talk from L.A. Reid turned out to be just that, talk. This is wack all around. Nas should’ve been prepared to fight this one to the death, or he should’ve never opened his mouth. Meanwhile, another guy who’s been known to drop the N-bomb will return to your TV this summer right around the same time. There too many losses in this situation to even keep track: Nas, Black music industry executives, Hip-Hop fans, Black America…

I think Nas set himself up because the last album had a controversial album title and he didn’t directly address how hip-hop is dead….or provide any worthwhile commentary on what was going on….I liked some of the songs but nas was always thought of as a serious dude, but its like his life contradicts his raps….and I think thats why a lot of people clown him…..
But nas is still one of the greatest….it’s just that the gimmicktry with the titles need to stop….

lol @ anyone who posted that Nas’ album title ‘had people talking’ about his record. nas has his fan base that was waiting for his next record, but he’s invisible to the masses of hip-hop fans. seriously, go outside, walk around your block, and asks regular people in the hood if they were debating Nas’ album title. No one cared other than bloggers. It’s not like I walked in the barber shop to hear heated debate about a f–king Nas album title. LOL @ that.

Max Kellerman is good but he doesnt compare to Cowherd….Cowherd is wayyy funnier than Kellerman, and disses all the lame people…..
Kellerman knows hip-hop, so thats good…
….. yeah i can’t give you an honest unbiased answer anyway, I have only heard Cowherd a couple of times but I listen to Kellerman every day and since he is a blatant yankee homer he gets my vote every time, plus his hip-hop
knowledge > any other sportscasters hip-hop knowledge so thats all I need to know …. Plus Kellerman seems to agree with me on a lot of shit and he isn’t afraid to step out of line and call people out, he stays advocating weed smoking, is the only sports personality I know so openly willing to say what Vick did was not that bad, especially when you look at how people make the food that they eat ….. still while he will say he doesn’t agree he is smart enough to know and point out the real reason he got in so much trouble and thats cause he was there was large sums of money being thrown all over the place without the gov’t getting a cut

…. yo I hear you but still think about this for a second, no 3rd baseman ( if he is healthy i have a feeling he is gonna go on a tear ) no Posada ( which is killing us Molina = great back-up or horrible everyday ) and Cano still struggling but you know it won’t continue I promise the line-up will wake up and start mashing, this will happen within weeks no more than a month I predict you will see a drastic change, Pitching is still an issue but theres still time and moves to be made, you have to remember what a Yankees lineup looks like now will probably not be close to what it looks like in August …… the biggest reason I’m not scared isn’t because of a lack of their weaknesses but for lack of someone who scares me…… Ok so Boston is the best in the A.L. right now but I still say they are overrated and won’t play this well all season ( and they are only what 6 up ? ) and even if you give in and give Boston the Division who right now would you say will definitely beat the Yankees for a Wild Card ? The Rays are the only actual competition there, however I don’t think they are a fluke I just expect things to come around for the Yankees they have been terrible and are still in decent shape thats a good sign, no team can stay that bad for that long especially not with the talent they got

… i know, i know … thats my squad … but no there’s no Joe Torre to keep things mellow … the outfield is old and powerless … and Abreu plays right field like a paraplegic … Giambi, who is washed up, he has resorted to wearing a gold thong under his uniform (and talking about it) … i guess since he cant take steroids, he’ll try anything … the owner is ready to panic because he knows they fucked up by not getting Johan Santana … Jeter is gettin old and cant catch anything not hit directly to him, and what little power he DID have, is gone … Posada is hurt indefinitely (steroid withdrawal) … Cano is a knucklehead … Melky Cabrera is a decent player on a good team, but a liability on a bad team … and the pitching staff is Chien Ming Wang, Mariano Rivera and much prayer … even Joba Chamberlain is starting to realize that shit aint sweet in the American League … and of course the Mighty Alex Rodriguez is hurt …
… there will be no late summer comebacks this year … unless MVP Alex comes back healthy and carries them miraculously on his back (again) … and this time they have plenty competition in their own division (c) Tampa, Boston, Toronto, and a vastly improved Orioles squadron …
