Lil Wayne ft. Kanye West - Lollipop (Remix)

I can’t even bring myself to listen to this now because I’m supposed to be at Glow in the Dark as we speak, but due to circumstances entirely under my control, I am not.

shit, some people might think Michael Jordan sucks, doesn’t take away his 6 rings
same thing with Lu
if the cool isn’t a classic then nothing’s a classic — fuck the chronic, fuck illmatic, fuck reasonable doubt, fuck 400 degreez, fuck ATliens, fuck everything if The Cool isn’t a classic, that album is simply magnificent

ok, land, we get it, you don’t like the cool
but you know who does like the cool?
the almost 500,000 people who paid retail for it
btw why isn’t anybody talking about that?
all the “dope MCs” who dropped in 2007 and first quarter 2008 could barely break 100,000 if they were lucky — shit some of them didn’t crack 50,000
meanwhile lu dropped a album with no gun talk and no rims spinning and no ki chopping and he’s about to do half a mill
let me tell you in 2008 going gold = 2x plat
that’s my word
The Cool is that album
it’s resonating with people, it’s making an impact, it’s continuing chicago’s momentum in that #1 spot, i can’t say enuf good things about it
it’s a diamond in the ruff
mashallah lu is that brother, may Allah give him success, he earned it

Whoa whoa…..I’m not a hater because I’m a Lupe fan but there’s no way in hell The Cool is a classic album….it was a good album but not great….hell even the Farenheit 1st n 15th mixtape was better than that album….but it’s not a bad cd
May 13th, 2008 at 11:25 pm
… yo Pockets, its just music … its not necessary for everyone to recite Sumerian Scrolls in their verses (like Wasalu) … there is room for the clever wordsmiths and rhythmic scatmasters (like Wayne & Corey) to prosper alongside of the socially conscious griots such as Lupe & Common …

I wouldn’t go so far as to say The Cool is a classic.
I thought that Food & Liquor was better.
I can listen to it front to back with no skips; can’t do that with The Cool.
In fact the only CDs I can do that with is:
Eminem - The Eminem Show
Common - Be
Kanye West - Graduation
Clipse - Hell Hath No Fury
Atmosphere - Overcast!
(The above mentioned) Lupe Fiasco - Food & Liquor
& last but not least, Mos Def - Black on Both Sides
I’d have to say that those are the only albums I’ve ever heard like that.
May 14th, 2008 at 5:15 am
Damn if you missed kanyes set you really missed out eskay
the others were iight nothing special but kanye tore it down. Great performance
smh at lupe bringing out his gold plaque and waving it around
May 17th, 2008 at 9:40 pm
I’m not even gonna lie… when kanye came to atlanta he RIPPED IT!!! Straight mirc the show… but it seems like our home boy has caught the Weezy T-pain virus… he’s on everything now lol

[…] After I heard a snippet of this song in that video of Kanye and Jonah Hill playing Checkers, I had really been looking forward to hearing the official version of this track. There’s a Jeezy remix too, but I can’t seem to find a dirty version and I recommend checking out the Kanye version first anyways. “Lollipop” is my favorite guilty pleasure of the year so far and I’m pretty sure it’s going to blow the speakers in my car before the summer is over. Oh yeah, The Carter 3 is in stores on June 10th. Lil Wayne feat. Kanye West - Lollipop Remix via Nah Right […]
