Noel Gallagher isnt racist and neither were his comments, he just cares about his music and the festivals associated with it – rightly or wrongly he spoke out, but dont just call it racist because there was nothing racist in his comments.
In London we have a yearly event called The Urban Music Festival and if they decided to headline with Oasis then people from the ‘Urban’ scene would also speak out – rightly or wrongly.
I’m all for the scenes coming together, The Arctic Monkeys collaberated last year with Dizzee Rascal at Glastonbury and it was fucking good…

Jay-Z is a dumb fuck if he goes to Glastonbury. He doesn’t know/understand that you have to be a particular kind of artist to be accepted at these festivals as its full of “middle class spolit kids and smug pretentious adults pretending they are counter culture”….
Only reason Oasis is talkin up about this is because they, and the rest of UK already know that Jay’s gonna turn up on stage, get booed and have bottles of piss thrown at him for the contractually agreed 20mins (minimum) set…then fuck off back to the US.
Why do we know this…because the same shit happened to 50 Cent/G-Unit at the Reading Festival.

It’s not a Hip-Hop/Black/Racist thing…Black Eyed Peas, Al Green(’99), James Brown(’04) etc…have all been accepted to these festivals with open arms. Jay-Z just makes awful music now and those PR comments dont mean shit…

What evidence is there that he IS? None at all.
Just because he doesnt want him to headline doesnt mean he completely rejects the idea of him and anyone else who is anything other than White performing there. Glastonbury has always had an eclectic mix of performers and thats what is known to be great about it. If he was rascist then surely he would just never go or in anyway support the festival – he’s probably been every year since ’94 and also headlined it twice…
