there are hundreds of kids in nyc that can freestyle like this, they just don’t let them get on the radio. sadly, a lot of the mc’s in the spotlight in nyc got y’all think new york can’t rap any more or something. don’t get it f–ked up.

son is pretty nice off the top, but so are literally hundreds of kids in ny. good to see he had the connects to get on the radio. hopefully this will open the door for other kids.

this shit was dope especially since it was an actual freestyle, only people hating on this must of forgot that a real freestyle means off the top not pre-written you can hear it in the way he flows the shit is off the top, good to see someone only 20 years old still practicing the art of actually freeing

Pay attention, children: that was REAL freestyling. S’funny that the dude Dyla above mentioned Eminem because this kid’s off-dome skills reminded me of him a bit but his voice reminded me a little bit of Em’s fellow Outsidaz crew member, Young Zee. Lots of potential here though - if this is the same kid I heard about a while ago, I’ve heard some of his beats too and his production is SICK. I know it’s a tired concept but Charles could be the one to bring back some life back to the NYC hip hop scene which has been totally wack for literally years now.
