if a movie director/producer/writer chooses to make a real movie with a real message and a point behind it does that get scrutinized the same ? or will people take it for what it’s worth ? even if there next movie is more commercial that still helps with the overall message if they can reach more people, sometimes you got to feed into the mainstream to get their attention and get their ear and once you have it then they hear songs or see movies with real meaning and their message gets across, also like Eskay says these rappers are people who consistently rap about topics along these lines, it’s not like DMX, Main-O, Jeezy, or Juvenile rapping about something they never touch on, how do we condemn them for trying to do something positive no matter how insignificant you think the effect of said positiveness can be
