Jay-Z/Live Nation Deal = Done
Billboard reports that Jay and Live Nation finalized their $150 million agreement on Wednesday.
The company yesterday (May 1) filed a Form-8K with the SEC which states that the artist is getting 750,000 Live Nation shares, plus an option on an additional 500,000 with the exercise price of $13.73. The shares go to Marcy Media, the company affiliated with Jay-Z (born Shawn Carter), in connection with the formation of Roc Nation LLC, a joint entertainment venture between Live Nation and Jay-Z.
I look forward to seeing a 47 year-old Jay playing Caesars in Vegas.

Juan reported on the Jay-Z/Live Nation deal over at Highbrid Nation and I honestly think Live Nation paid Jay-z way too much. He’s not a major player anymore and he’s definately not in his prime. You think he is sabatoging Obama?… I look at it from this perspective.. Rev. Wright is a Minister, He preaches, and thats what he does. He is not bound by political ties and he doesnt have to watch what he says. He is answering to a Higher power and if media blitz happens to bring Obama down, then so be it. I dont think he intentionally wants to see obama fail, but in His mind this is the greatest platform to speak on his “liberation theology, and speak the truth on these whitefolks.
