Curtis Takes Credit for Naughty By Nature Hit

While speaking with HHDX editor Jake Paine about his old neighborhood during a recent interview, Curtis fixed him mouth and tried to take credit for the smash Naughty By Nature song “Hip-Hop Hooray.”
50: [50 says address in Queens] had a spot with a gray door. It was a little party house. We all had shit we would do. [50 Cent and Tony Yayo wave their hands back and forth] “Ho! Hey! Ho! Hey!†It turned into “Hip Hop Hooray.†When he played it for Treach, he heard it [and borrowed it]. At the time, there was no real music savvy to us; we wasn’t writing anything. That was just some shit we was doin’ in the nightclubs. But when [Treach] got exposed to it and heard it, he was already in a position to where he could take something like that and turn it to an anthem. he added to it. He made that energy from right that. That shit came out of “the gray door†on 109.
Woah. You’ve gotta admire his ability to say this stuff with a straight face.

I could tell she was hood by all the tats she had on her lower arms… plus she was getting ready to toss some “dont stoppers†on her whip.

sadly we live in an age when dumbasses will believe him, just because he said so…sadder thing is he can fuck around and buy his way into making that lie believable…

I invented “yes, yes y’all”
April 21st, 2008 at 6:55 pm
50 frequently talk greasy – we know this already but he might not be that crazy on this one. I know Kay, Treach n them in NBN and, by their own admission, they were inspired to make “hip Hop Hooray” by a “Hey ho” chant that was being said by kids in the clubs at the time. They by no means claim to have invented that chant – they just took something that was hot in the streets and made a song out of it. Now whether 50 and his crew were the ones that Naughty heard it from directly? That’s another story….
April 22nd, 2008 at 8:06 am
Could it be possible this guy is actually telling the truth. Look past the hate sometimes. I know slot of people hate 50 but I like the fact he airs out people because my opion is their to many manufactured rappers and that is hurting hip hop more than it helps.

50 Cent really likes these words and phrases…read or listen to any of his interviews and he’s bound to use one or more of these words at least a couple of times…
