yeah man, computer software is the way to go. People talk about MPC having a unique feel, but people who know what they are doing can get the same kind of punch and everything with software. ANd the versatility of software is on another level. There will be some hard heads, but the MPC e.tc might get phased out of hiphop eventually, like vinyl DJing.

Short version:
Go to google, google uTorrent, DL uTorrent, go to pirate bay or mini nova to name a couple, search for a file you want, dl it, open the containing folder, use the file as you see fit. It’s easier than it sounds. Trust me. You can download books, movies, music, applications, programs and it’s p2p so it’s not “stealing”.

I’m sayin’ Preemo would get a snare here, a kick there, a horn stab from a Hungarian Funeral march record, a guitar lick from a 60’s folk song and make some shit like “Kick In The Door” or” Take It Personal” rather than lift an entire riff form a thought-to-be-unknown LP. SOME producers get cheese and get lazy.

People dont realize that putting the RIGHT sounds together takes some talent. I agree that Premo e.t.c. probably put in more work than producers of today, but whats more important, the amount of work, or whether the music sounds good? And side not, Polow is definetly one of the best right now.
