And in the case of Adi+Run DMC, Run DMC portrayed that look before the company came knocking. In the 90's same thing, a few companies risked their name with the genre, thinking it was just a FAD. I hate to say it but PUFF changed the game up from carhartt and camo/army jackets, by the way largely to do with no urban brands around; plus the greazzy/shoot-to-kill Hip-Hop of the mid 90s.
