Whats good Nah? Friday is a beautiful thing. The Simpsons is still good but it hasnt been brillant since like 2002. The movie was a pretty big disappointment in my humble, felt like a extra long pretty funny newer episode. Not a movie.

I agree the simpsons had fallen off a bit but damn they have been on a decade and half you have to run out of ideas sometime, recently they started doing shows based on movies that are fucking hysterical, like the one they did with Eternal Sunshine of a spotless mind or the departed aka the bebarted that shit was hilarity …

and I hate when people say the movie felt like 1 long episode what else would it feel like, if someone can come up with a way that a TV show that has been on for a decade and a half can come across as anything but a longer show I’d be glad to here it, the movie was hysterical quotables for days

Simpsons is way more creative than Family Guy. Family relies on silly flashbacks too much. ie Peter: “Remember the time…..blah blah”. That’s pretty much the entire show. Plus the Simpsons involves way more characters in the show, other than just the family. Family Guy does too, but not nearly as many funny characters outside the family.

simpsons has its moments of crude slapstick, but it seems like family guy relies mostly on slapstick, fart jokes and pop culture references.

but yeah, i watch family guy and almost piss my pants laughing. and simpsons is clever, funny on a different level.

if you’ve ever seen “finding forrester”, sean connery’s character reads the wall street journal and NY times for “his main course” and the tabloids for dessert. you know the quality is not as good but you cant help but like it.

The project, tentatively titled “Cleveland,” is being written by “Family Guy” creator Seth MacFarlane, Mike Henry — who voices Cleveland and serves as writer-producer on the series — and “The Simpsons” alum Rich Appel, executive producer/showrunner on MacFarlane’s other animated comedy for Fox, “American Dad.”

Cleveland, who plays off black stereotypes, is the most levelheaded among Griffin’s trio of friends.
