Graduation is built like a pop record, all similarities to Jay sequencing is either a coincidence or just a result of the fact that Jay sequences his shit like pop records too.
^how is a pop record sequenced? and because of my deep study of metaphysics i don’t believe in coincedences.
^^^
no more than 15 tracks, singles toware the beginning, stronger album tracks toward the end
^^^
beans never went plantinum
^wrong again.
The Truth hit like 800 thou last time I checked and that was his best selling record.
I’ll be honest, when I saw that Shake posted this last night I thought to myself, “Do we really need another version of this song at this point in the game?†So I downloaded it, but didn’t get around to listening to it until just now.
And I was wrong. So what.
Lupe Fiasco ft. Matt Santos - Superstar (Acoustic Version)
as for Jay and Def Jam: them niggas got like 35 Grammy nods and sold millions of records during Jay’s tenure. we get mad cuz he pushed Rihanna and Ne-Yo, but the reality is, R&B is selling and hip-hop is not. Def Jam is a business and a division of a global corporation. Doug Morris and Jay had shareholders to answer to, not me and you who want a fucking Joe Budden album.
As for Beans and whoever else is crying, them niggas is grown men. nobody put a fucking gun to their head and told them to sign a contract for 14 cents on the dollar. I didn’t hear Beanie crying when his first album was selling platinum.
the hatred ya’ll send in this man’s direction, like ya’ll really understand what is going on in the world is incredible. take a step back and look at the reality of the situation.
…. please re-read what i said I didn’t diss or hate on him at all, I agree he should do HIM, how many times do you want me to say that, thats what Jay has always been about, I have always said as president of DJ he should push what sells like the R&B ( it is sketchy that other people who continually flop could get multiple albums out and others were stuck for years but thats neither here nor there ) I don’t blame them for raping beans either I agree thats on beans but I just don’t consider that putting someone ” on ”
the only thing I dissed Jay for was his abandonment of Def Jam left what happened to that ? otherwise I agree with you 100 %, stop acting like I don’t agree with you
people coming at jay on this shit would be like coming at Jordan cause he didn’t do enough to help others, Jordan has always been a business man in business for himself what would make you expect anything different
coz if u knew Dames character & how he treated ppl(in the hey days) u wouldnt b on his nut sack so quick
^^bein a successful NY’er is about being an asshole, Russell, Loco, Diddy, Trump, Dame, Eskay, Jay, 50..are all assholes..In NY..that’s how business gets done…we was built for this.

^so now AG was ‘ehhh’? come on man, ya’ll are wildin. very few albums last year were better.
… at first I was like damn this is a dope album ( like I do with many albums on first listen ) but then, also as I do with others I realized it had very little replay value,
fallin, no hook, success, pray, and say hello were all good songs the only one I steadily played on repeat was fallin though, most Jay albums stay in my rotation for months, not this one, he was a victim of his own success for that though

^add sweet and ignorant shit and you damn near mention the whole album. the hate really dont make sense considering 90 percent of rappers cant make two songs in their whole career that you can remember.
… true and I agree, again I’m not hating on the album I fucked with it but not as a normal Jay album it got redundant real quick black album BP 1 and 2 stayed in the whip for months AG lasted a week at most, again I say he is a victim of his own success though because if a brand new rapper made the same exact album i would be talking about it forever, i just don’t think it was anything great and ground breaking for Jay I wish he would of stayed with the KC formula just going away from the ultra poppy shit, I get he reverted back cause KC went over mosts head but IMO reverting back is never a good thing you should always push forward, again I’m not dissing AG but as far as a Jay album I wasn’t that iimpressed ….
