Curtis to Toss Son Out on Street

Damn Curtis, this shit is just wrong.
Today, hip-hop/bottled-water impresario Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson will ask that a judge evict his ex-girlfriend, Shaniqua Tompkins, and the couple’s 10-year-old son, Marquise Jackson, from the rapper’s property in Long Island, New York, Radar has learned. (Before passing verdict yourselves, consider what a love child and jilted ex lover have done to your fledgling mogul hopes and dreams.)
Nah, but in all seriousness, as much as I like to break Curt’s balls, I don’t think for a second that he’d do his son like that. According to Radar, his baby’s moms was supposed to be looking for a new home and she hasn’t done that, so I guess this is his next chess move. It sure doesn’t make for the greatest headlines though…

as for Jay and Def Jam: them niggas got like 35 Grammy nods and sold millions of records during Jay’s tenure. we get mad cuz he pushed Rihanna and Ne-Yo, but the reality is, R&B is selling and hip-hop is not. Def Jam is a business and a division of a global corporation. Doug Morris and Jay had shareholders to answer to, not me and you who want a fucking Joe Budden album.
As for Beans and whoever else is crying, them niggas is grown men. nobody put a fucking gun to their head and told them to sign a contract for 14 cents on the dollar. I didn’t hear Beanie crying when his first album was selling platinum.

Dizzee signing to Rap-A-Lot would be a major look for Diz’. Rap-A-Lot has a ill history, plus Dizzee’s a super-big fan of southern music…
I dont think he’s signed YET, but I know Bun wants to bring him over there…Bun B really loves UK music. He knows the names of artists & everything…
Right now, Def Jux is releasing Maths & English in the US (it came out here last year), but you can expect Diz’ to be working with Rap-A-Lot artists alot in the near future…

NO DISRESPECT BY ANY MEANS BUT……………..
U MAD?
^^^No disrespect taken,..yea I’m mad but not at Jay but moreso at the “fans†that crown a man as “Hov†but this said “Hov†does nothing for his people, “Hov†is only concerned with making “Hov†rich and if you listen to “Hov†he’ll tell you himself.
A hip hop dude named “Hov†should be more about the people(in my opinion). If I was mad at ‘Hov†for making money I’d be mad at 50 also which isnt the case, “Hov†has done nothing to enlift his people. He destroyed a black owned record label to go work for white corporations, mainly for the same amount of money..there’s nothing LIVEAID can do for “Hov†that “Hov†shouldnt be able to do for himself being that he is “Hovâ€.
50 takes risks(signing vitawater when everyone else was doing liquor, moving his artists to thisis50.com to capitalize on digi movement). “Hov†has done nothing but get a cushy job up at DJ and then following in the footsteps of U2 and Madonna by signing with LIVEAID.
A guy crowned “Hov†should be more into creating jobs and opportunities for his people, being more visible in the political and social areas. Hov can rap about the gun and drug shit but its above him to speak to the youth about doing all the dumb shit. “Hov†embodied the whole FRANK LUCAS do for self mentality a few months ago then now he does a deal Frank Lucas would laugh at.
Since I’ve been on NR Ive challenged Simon and others to show me “Hov’s†contribution to the communities he helped deteriorate with his music and they have only showed me a few pics from XMAS of “HOv†handing out turkeys and the pics of his personal jet dropping off water to somalians before his album dropped.
If Jay retired and became an executive I’d have less of a problem..but I see the hipocrisy in sensationalizing an image like that of Frank Lucas but then doing deals and illustrating to your people an image more like Frank Perdue
Disclaimer: Jay isnt responsible for all crime, poverty, state of rap, etc…but ME personally… I just put more stock in a nigga that calls himself GOD.

i’m sayin listen to kanye’s records. jay’s influence on him is so heavy…graduation is built like a jay record
^^^
Graduation is built like a pop record, all similarities to Jay sequencing is either a coincidence or just a result of the fact that Jay sequences his shit like pop records too.
beans would have never gone platinum if he wasnt on jay’s label.

14 cents on the dollar is an average record contract. veeeery few people get more than that. that’s why even groups like TLC was claimin bankruptcy. that is why prince made that speech back when he got a soul train award. for things to change black people would have to move collectively and demand more. but niggas stay tribal so it is what it is

^ its a relatively common record industry practice accross genres. simplified: labels sign you based on what they think you can do.. if at some point they realize or start thinking you arent worth the long term investment, you get shelved and called a tax wrote off.

^so now AG was ‘ehhh’? come on man, ya’ll are wildin. very few albums last year were better.
… at first I was like damn this is a dope album ( like I do with many albums on first listen ) but then, also as I do with others I realized it had very little replay value,
fallin, no hook, success, pray, and say hello were all good songs the only one I steadily played on repeat was fallin though, most Jay albums stay in my rotation for months, not this one, he was a victim of his own success for that though
April 3rd, 2008 at 12:14 pm
Waddup Dem, Plug, Simon, Billz, catch cold Rigz, Greeny I see you lurking.
@Simon Jay does employ people I’m not gonna say otherwise but he could do much much much better with developing some black owned for the people type entity.
I mean look at that LiveNation contract…what is $5 million in overhead for all the artists under the Jay umbrella and $10 million for each of 3 Jayz albums? …one nigga gets 30 million and 30 niggas get 5? Do the math homie…shit don’t add up..He could have done all this shit by himself if he was such a great businessman…
Putting up all the money and getting all the profits > Gettin a LIVENATION loan and splitting the profits after you recoup.

^add sweet and ignorant shit and you damn near mention the whole album. the hate really dont make sense considering 90 percent of rappers cant make two songs in their whole career that you can remember.

Yo, don’t know if you peeped yesterday but I was askin ur opinion on the Dizzee Rascal/Rap-A-Lot deal
^^^^^^^
Yeah I swear I answered you…It went a little suttin like thiiiisss:
Dizzee signing to Rap-A-Lot would be a major look for Diz’. Rap-A-Lot has a ill history, plus Dizzee’s a super-big fan of southern music…
I dont think he’s signed YET, but I know Bun wants to bring him over there…Bun B really loves UK music. He knows the names of artists & everything…
Right now, Def Jux is releasing Maths & English in the US (it came out here last year), but you can expect Diz’ to be working with Rap-A-Lot artists alot in the near future…
I give Dizzee ALOT of ratings…If you lot ever knew what he came from…
^^^^^^
Thanx fam, I didn’t check the thread back from yesterday, was right b4 I left the JO… I peeped maths n english last year (thank god 4 mininova), enjoyed most of it, esp the UGK track…
*hugs Greenie* damn ma, who pissed u off this mornin?

He got many issues!
April 3rd, 2008 at 3:24 pm
Think about it…he’s paying child support to take care of his son, spends some time with him and even sometimes take ‘em on promo runs/business trips i.e.: son is taken care of
She is chillin’ in 50’s crib rent/mortgage free using money meant to take care of his son for herself
now take away the fact that this is 50 cent and it’s just a regular dude with a well payin’ 9-5
put yourself in his shoes…
Now what would you do?
Remember even the courts agreed she greatly exaggerated her expenses and reduced them by more than 50%

>>Sometimes these baby moms be playin games. I feel him. The chick prolly is a millionaire. she got the bread. these yoes just be BS’n
… sometimes these baby moms be playin games but not the rapper whos on tour almost the entire year. im so glad we live in a country where we all think before we open our mouths. and have such a great sense of morals. lemme see chick is a millionaire yet she lives with 50,,, that might hint at her money comes from him so if she gets cut off from 50 she gets cut off from the cashflow unless Curtis feels like being generous and pays child support. and when the fuck was it okay to toss the woman who mothered your child AND your child out and not care wtf happened to them ? can you look at that situation and say you dont see anything wrong with that ?

[...] Yo, let me find out Curtis tried to burn down a house with his son and baby’s moms inside. The Long Island McMansion at the center of his and Shaniqua’s legal battle burned to the ground early this morning. Fire officials are calling the blaze “definitely suspicious.” An eyewitness told Newsday that among the injured, all of whom suffered smoke inhalation according to fire officials, were 50 Cent’s ex-girlfriend, Shaniqua Tompkins, and their 10-year-old son, Marquise.
