I love when people bring up the "swagger jacking" and the biting. Kanye does it, Jay-Z does it. They all "bite", they just put their twist on it. Lil Wayne gets all the shit for it though because he says he is the best rapper alive. For some reason people have something against Wayne that is absolutely ridiculous. He is a good rapper, just because he doesnt talk about selling drugs and murdering people for fun it doesnt mean he is not hard, or a legend. He uses metaphors and his rhymes are so creative. Most of his songs are about women and money. Welcome to hip-hop, either you brag about you have/lost or you are a stonecold drug dealing killer. I would rather people talk about what they have/lost and enjoy the lyrics. Wayne is good, and you know what....he probably will go down as one of the best. His lyrics are evolving (in a good way) and with followers like Drake and the rest of young money, he will continue to stay in the spot light. He is becoming the man who brought him into the game (baby). He is starting to mentor Drake, and soon Drake will take over wayne. That is a long way away, but mark my words: Young Money will stay in the spot light. Kanye, Jay, Jeezy= rappers that will go down as the top, with young money ofcourse. No matter what you guys think or say its the truth. This blog proves it, you guys all took your time to talk shit or show love about wayne. So even if you hate him, you are supporting him. This post along with the others shows his popularity. He represents mainstream, underground, and straight up good rap. Everyone complains he has no classics, he doesnt care. The dude has so many mixtapes and leaked singles, why do you think his albums are always just good? Everything he puts out is to great, so when his highly anticipated album comes out he make it for the fans.

Go listen to “Amen” by L’il Wayne, on one of his mixtapes, and tell me that doesn’t shit on 99.9% of Hov’s catalog.

^ ^ ^ ^ ^

WHOAH!!!

THIS GUY JUST SAID THAT THAT ONE SONG IS BETTER THAN:

1) REASONABLE DOUBT

2) VOL. 2

3) BLUEPRINT

4) THE BLACK ALBUM

5) AMERICAN GANGSTER

LOL, I ACTUALLY FEEL SORRY FOR YOU. THATS NOT A JOKE. HONESTLY I DO.

THE ONLY EXPLANATION FOR THAT OVER THE TOP STATEMENT IS THAT YOU DON'T KNOW JAY'S CATALOG.

ONE OF JAY-Z'S 8O'S FREESTYLES WOULD SON WAYNE'S CATALOG.

THE FREESTYLE JAY DID BACK IN 2OO6 ON THE FUNK-MASTER FLEX SHOW WOULD MERK WAYNE..........BECAUSE JAY WAS ACTUALLY SAYING SOME INSIGHTFUL THING'S. SOMETHING WAYNE CAN'T DO AS WELL AS JAY, NAS, OR EMINEM. PLUS THE METAPHOR'S AND DOUBLE ENTANDRE'S WERE NICE.......AS USUAL.

MY GOODNESS, I CAN'T BELIEVE THAT PEOPLE GET AWAY WITH THIS FOOLISHNESS.

BUT THEN AGAIN IT'S YOUR OPINION. SO WHATEVER.

” I THINK LIL’ WAYNE IS EXTREMELY TALENTED. I THINK HE’S ONE OF THE MORE TALENTED ONES OUT THERE.”

“I MEAN, EVEN MORE SO HOW HIS DELIVERY IS THAN WHAT HE SAYS.”

“YOU KNOW, I DON’T THINK SOME OF THE THINGS HE SAYS SOMETIMES ARE THE GREATEST THINGS.”

“BUT THE WAY HE DELIVERS IT…………….MANNNNNN.” - JAY-Z

Silly kids, do you even realize what Jay actually said right there? "SOME of the things... aren't the GREATEST".
Aren't great?
Well that still qualifies for being pretty damn good. Also uses the word "some". So, out of the hundreds of thousands of bars Wayne spit over the past few years, Jays says SOME arent great. I'd dont know about y'all but I'd say that qualifies for being pretty fuckin incredible.

You gotta watch Jay, he's very slick with his words and most of you are gullable to alot his shit. Much love to Jay though.

If you say Wayne is a legend...you dumb.

I'll admit, he's one of the best that the game has to offer RIGHT NOW, but a legend? Nah cousin. He has way too many strikes against him. We have at least four counts of confirmed swagger jacking, and he's showing no signs of slowing down. Examples include biting Jay's flow up hard, biting Clipse (mainly Pusha T) 'dopeboy swagger', STILL on Dipset's dick, and now he wants to sing like T-Pain. Shit is way past ridiculous now.

Don't get me wrong, I think dude can definitely spit. But original, he is not.

I agree with one of the earlier comments, Wayne has already peaked lyrically. And the wack shit he's been dropping lately is evidence of that.

I like wayne because he seems to have fun in the booth. He seems like he actually enjoys his career.

All of the guys you see on TV are entertainers. If you take out the coonery, non of these guys would be funny or entertaining. they would just be us. there job is to entertain. nothing more. we have denzel, alicia keys, india irie, Mos def, ect for the other aspects of entertaining. Blacks are diverse. I always wondered why people get mad at entertainers. It makes no since. It’s like when the baby boomers talk bad about hip hop and its culture. The only go by what they see on BET. Like thats all there is.

^But when you entertain at the expense of destroying a culture of people then you should be held accountable. That's Black peoples' problem now: we do anything under the Sun to "entertain" and make a dollar to follow in the footsteps of the Draco (crakkkas). Then our only sound arguement for defense is, "well, when white people do it... " Why in the hell are we still worried about what THEY'RE doing? Our culture and their culture have two different affects on us as beings. For one, they have no culture. Everything that they've ever accomplished has been stolen, perverted, and regurgitated back to the masses as somethin' "orginal" where they are just "having fun". It has no purpose so they write it off as "just having fun" and continue on with their lives. Everything that Nubians created had a significant MEANING, even though we have signed the crakkkas contracts and now (mis)use it as just entertainment for our own personal monetary gains and their enjoyment. Rhyming/MC'ing, dancing (tap, modern, stepping, etc.), singing, and all other means of physical "talent" all have meaning in our history. It wasn't just for the sake of sayin' things to be sayin' it. Am I entertained by our talented kin? Of course. But at what point do we stop and think about what's being put out there and tryin' to offer somethin' of substance to help self and kind. And though I have disdain for Wayne as an artist because I think he's wack, I'm not holdin' him soley accountable for the destruction as a whole. But since he's the topic/thread of discussion, then I will continue to beat the brakes off of the dead horse well-after he has stopped breathing.

And as I just mentioned, MC'ing/Rhyming, singing, dancing, are more than just rhythms and words. They are tones and vibrations and they're used to send certain messages. The Devils want control of our art for a reason. I suggest yall take heed...
