The dick riding he did on the last clip of slick rick and KRS One was a bit more than needed IMO… it’s one thing to pay homage, but to say a MAN is right underneath GOD is a little too much

Even “murda muzik†is takin it back, and Mobb Deep don’t sound SHIT like that no more
———
nobody is gonna sound exactly like they did 10 years ago. but its the same fomula. Hav alchemist and P. nobody has had a run as long as they have.
LF: Is Hav and P still cool? the lack of hav beats on HNIC2 flagged that thought

i’d have to get a fresh listen to murda muzik, i remember it had some serious bangers, but i remember thinkin at the time that HNIC was the best cd in recent history. I’m gonna say that’s a false statement until i get a fresh listen to MM
—————-
Its classic I’d say that. I got it on now. I dont ever remeber ever skippin tracks on this cd.

I don’t understand the allure of HNIC… I never have… IMO there are like 3 dope tracks and maybe another 2 on top of that that are good, the rest, I could really do without…
What You Rep, Keep It Thoro, and the one where they’re talkin’ about drivin’ thru NYC in the summer (someone smoke some weed for me) are tight tho….

@ Plug
I hear ya, and have no problem with that, it’s just when people start talkin about “MC Pistol Starter aint hot no more” it get’s me vexed…
*Runs up to the podium, mugs the speaker, clears throat*
Fuck moving forward
Fuck being relevant today
That’s the problem with these niggas. They feel like they have to be in the limelight and sell a million records everytime the drop. I got 18 year old students I teach that listen to Guns N Roses and that really says something being that they were only 3 when the shit came out. How long the Peppers been dropping albums? Since ’84
That’s why I fucks wit the indies
That’s why I fucks wit DOOM

wow. I think I’ve listend to that cd at least once every couple months since its release in 2000. and when it goes in the player it stays for at least a week. That cd is better than any cd nas and jay ever made in they careers. I even have the clean version for days when i wanna listen to it loud at work. I still get goosebumps and teary eyed when veterens memorial comes on.

to each his own, but that whole cd was bangin to the 5th power, whatever that means. the beats were dramatic, bass-filled, and P talked alot of shit and his swag was just right on that whole cd. I can’t put my finger on it as far as why, but HNIC is one of my all time favorite cd’s.

KRS (the spiritual head of the T.E.M.P.L.E.) says we need more niggas…. hmmm… maybe hip hop is dead or at least spiriutally dead?

Plug, I think Prodigy feels he has more chemistry with Alchemist behind the boards and that’s why he relies primarily on him for his solo joints. But Hav and P are Mobb Deep and Hav of course has to take a majority of the production duties on Mobb albums.
