New Green Lantern & Barack Obama Mixtape

And Uncle Russ. I wonder what this is about. OnSMASH promises more info soon. I like how on the cover, Green is rocking a jacket with no tie. There’s a guy who can look casual, but still means business.

Eskay…u tool. Obama has a freaking tie on. The tie is dark and sort of blends in with the mic. Got damn, you gotta be blind or something. Haha. I’m sorry…just feeling a bit heated tonight.

I suppose ALL the raps will have some political message involved (i.e. i’m thinking those willIam songs are gonna be on there). What I’m really hoping for, considering GL is dropping the tape, is that Immortal Technique will do some ish on here. Not really sure if he backs Barack, but I haven’t really heard ish from him lately AND that Middle Passage is starting to seem more and more like DETOX to me…I keep hearing about it, but y’all know the rest. ESKAY…edit that post tho brotha.

  16. original gordon gartrell Says:

NOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!! this is exactly what the campaign does NOT need…Clinton and McCain are going to find some ignorant ass shit on here and exploit it against Barack…you thought Reverend Wright was misrepresented and drawn out? tell me there won’t be one song on here talking about boosting crack sales, using the word “nigga” as much as “yo son”, or derogative lyrics about women, and i’ll give green lantern’s concept tape its props…but i’m tired of MF’s who don’t read anything written with more credibilty than the ny post opening their mouths in a public forum…bad move GL…put Reagan on the cover and call it the “takeback” or something else catchy.

    vanglorious…with a key…sissy.
