DJ Drama & Curtis Plan G-Unit Gangsta Grillz
Barack ODrama has informed MTV News that he and Curtis will be teaming up for a G-Unit Gangsta Grillz, the first ever collaboration between the two camps.
"A couple of days after G-Unit dropped their Elephant in the Sand mixtape [two weeks ago], I got the call from 50 [Cent] and he was like, ‘Drama, what up? It’s time to do this G-Unit/ Aphilliates Gangsta Grillz.’ He’s really going heavy on the ThisIs50.com Web site, and he was saying basically it’s time to get G-Unit hot in the South. What better way to do that than to do a Gangsta Grillz? Not only from a South aspect but from a quality street-music aspect…"

He is attempting to redefine the web space as a medium to reach consumers. We all know the the traditional model is dead & it is all about contact that is accessible at the click of a button.
Just like he did with the mixtapes back in the day. He changed the game & before people caught on it was passe. If you recall he had a tape out every wk & had folks from 25th to fulton running the streets like fiends for the latest mixtape. Plus these tapes have covers & orginal content which was revolutionary at the time.
Now he has made his producet more accessible by creating one spot where u can come 2. So its the same approach “different drug” so to speak. Also if u notice u have to sign up & become a member in order to join the site. The will be good look when he wants 2 hit advertisers in the head because he can show that he has a core audience of say 500k people who sign on daily who are 18-34 for example. I think because all mixtapes are supposed to be “promotional only” Drama has never really clarified on how this shit actually works. I’d assume the artist pays Drama at this point, but at the same time, it was probably the opposite when he first started.

^Someone hasn’t been convinced yet, or just don’t want to admit that wayne is ill. Wayne is a MC off the strength of his work ethic alone, anyone that stays in the studio 24/7 is a MC at heart, because he cares about his craft, yes wayne leans towards swag alot also, but that doesn’t take away from the fact that he cares about making music. Because he’s been coming relatively weak (Broken Language ‘08 notwithstanding) the past couple of years and I think there are similarities between he and Weezy’s MC type. “Trilla” is fucking horrible. After a couple listens, I could appreciate like 50% of “Port of Miami”. This shit, not so much.
