I never said get married if you have a child. That I don’t co-sign with cause it hardly ever lasts. I said marriage FIRST. Then children. Why have a child just to have a child? You are only putting more responsibilities on yourself. If you really want a child so bad, why dont people just be surrogate mothers, and pick some good genes instead of choosing a low-life ass nigga with no job?

If you dont think you see that person as living with you for the rest of your life, then you shouldn’t be having children with that person.

And I know I’m speaking from some old, Idea, ancient, perspective. But these new modern ideas of having children, and baby mommas, Have not in anyway served to benefit our people.

^^ you are going too far..who said anything about more than one baby father boosie? and I used the example of slaves to say even in hard times two people who really love each other have children, no matter what is going on in the world…some ppl look at children in a business sense, but that’s what’s wrong with a lot of ppl nowadays…children are an investment but in terms of how you raise them not based on your own economical status…if that was the case then we all should not of had any children..parents included

You shouldn’t have a child just because you are a certain age. Based on the economy, it’s not even smart to have children out of wedlock. We as a community need to start re-teaching our kids marriage first then kids.
It makes business sense and moral sense.

One of the number 1 killers in the black community is children out of wedlock. The stats speak for themselves. I wont even go deep into it, cause I dont wont to offend anyone on here lurking or get hate remarks.

Notice I said children out of wedlock. Marriage was around during the time of the slaves too. And Actually it was more economically beneficial for them to have kids, to help them with farm duties. The more kids you have the more fit you are. People have kids knowing they are going to doing all sorts of things. Doesnt make it right. Two and three baby dadies, does not in ANY way help a child. This alarming rate of illegitimate children, is killing the black community. The stats prove it.

Logic would be not getting involved in the first place. Marriage in itself is nothing wrong. It’s the people that get involved, who fuck up the marriage institution. If you use marriage as a tool for something else, then you weren’t taking it serious in the first place.

^^ some ppl get married for business reasons…in some cultures that is a lifelong tradition {arranged marriages} some ppl get married for “romantic love” and some ppl want to really be with that person for the rest of their lives….I’m not marrying a man just because I have children with him…GTFOH..I tired being with the father of my children for the sake of our kids, but I can’t…fuck all the bullshit…

I dont think catch22 was raised in the hood. ***Me and wifey were discussing that, just the other day- if we had waited until we had $ to have kids, we wouldn’t have my lil’ man (no proud papa)- he’s 8 yrs old, and lives in the lap of luxury, but when he was conceived, I was fresh out the military with no steady j-o, and we lived in the pjs…as a matter of fact, I partially credit my son with giving me the inspiration to do what had to be done and make t he appropriate moves…I love that kid to death, and I couldn’t imagine him not being in my life…

I don’t know why, but people tend to forget that pregnancy IS NOT THE ONLY RISK to having unprotected sex with multiple partners … the clap, anyone?
