Honestly, a lot of yall dont make sense. Both of these guys are rich, so yall are just arguing about how one rich guy is richer than the other rich guy. Shit is stupid. Both Fat Joe and 50 Cent are getting PAID off their respective album releases.

It’s a damn shame this is what rap has been reduced to. I don’t think any other music genre gives a flying fuck about plaques and album sales.

Wow you guys are idiots. Curtis sold a little over 2 million in the US alone. At $12.99 each that equals $25, 980, 000 already. And we still haven’t included sales worldwide, ringtone sales, etc. In addition, how do you know that the budget for Curtis was in fact $27 mil? Because his opponent said so? THINK. There was no proof to support the claim. But even if it were true, a simple math and a bit of common sense clearly destroys that claim.

I’m not a stan though, Curtis sucked. My point is you can’t possibly compare a major label artist with an independent artist. It’s an apples to oranges comparison. 50 is just in another universe in terms of revenue streams.

While Fat Joe may be right that Curtis lost Interscope an enormous amount of money, it’s not like 50 has to pay back that money. Interscope is on the hook for that one. 50 got his 5 or 6 million dollar advance and probably was like what the fuck ever to getting any royalties.

Also there’s no way Elephant in the Room is making a profit right now. Just no mathematical way that is possible.

um…valiant effort fat joe but whats wrong with 600,000 free downloads when the point of making music is to make music and build a fanbase..and fat joe can brag about money when he has:
1. Beverage endorsements
2. Automobile endorsements
3. A clothing line(success is in the eye of the beholder haha)
4. Sold out international tours
5. His own label
6. Movie deals
7. Someone other than the local middle schooler using a media arts class to make his 50 rebuttals
not a 50 stan I’m just saying “no money shouldn’t be talking about money”… but then i guess I’m not in the position to say anything i just said… F*ck fat Joe
