    well the fact that part of the rap games message is “i’m keepin it real, and you’re not” makes it so people don’t just look at what they say as entertainment, but as something they’re really living out/doing.

    very few rappers ever say when they’re out of the booth that “it’s just entertainment”. That’s why i hate that argument that rappers/people say when they compare it to movies.

    in the movies it’s obvious it’s a movie, but rap is all about “i live this shit, nigga”. that’s comparing apples to mango’s

    but my point is, saying “I live this shit” is part of the entertainment. I think comparing rap to action movies is stupid to. So compare it to wrestling. Same goes for Rick (former CO) and pretty much everybody else.

    No, you’re not supposed to believe them. Just like you’re not supposed to believer Steve Ausin and Vince are mortal enemies. If these dudes were “credible” would that make the MUSIC better for you? A dope beat and a rhyme is a dope beat and a rhyme regardless of content (most of the time). Pusha is disgusting but Rick Ross sucks. They both talk about the same thing. So whats the difference. One of them is a good rapper. Thats all that matters.

    but most rappers that have been in the game for a while will tell you (if they are honest) that they’re day to day is pretty regular. no one wants to hear about how they took their kid to ballet practice and that they had cheerios for breakfast. they talk about the life they used to live before fame… or the party, maybach driving, rainimaking, celebrity side of their life, which to be honest, i can’t identify with so its usually crap to me.

    No, everybody said he wasnt in touch because he made an album with pretty shitty production (a first for him). The “its cuz he wasnt rapping about coke” is bull. He just wasnt rapping WELL on most of Kingdom come period. And I dont mean content. I mean delivery and patterns, word usage, etc. etc.
