Yo, I only bought "Trilla" because I listened to "Ego Trippin'" and hated it besides "Neva Hav 2 Worry". I mean, I love Snoop and I loved "Blue Carpet Treatment", but this is just dissapointing.

The dude Rick Ross is a motivational speaker on the low, I mean have you heard the Port o album or this one, he is a sneeky with it, him and Jeezy are that type of motivational rappers, their beats and everything. Fat Joe is sick though, his album is ridiculous, he is the most underrated rapper ever

He tore down Sofa Lounge (Jimmy's Bronx Cafe) last week, he jutt came through with a million Boriqua and killed it, sad to see no Geddy though, He got on stage and murdered, the dude has hits, you have to admit, he than gave a show, even though waiting on line forever was stupid, cause it was still more room in the place, except V.I.P where the strippers were, ti was nuts in there, it was like 30 strippers in there, either way, Joe got on stage did his thing, We Want War, from the new album Elephant In The Room (In Stores Now) as well as clips from the other albums, he than pulled the cat out of the bag saying the reason he got into hip hop the thing that inspired him was "South Bronx" than KRS One comes out and totally kills, Joe says he wasnt the first to beef with heavy weights from Queens, and than "The Bridge is Over" comes on, the crowd went nuts, and it was way more ladies than guys in there, I heard they was charging $60 to get in and they had to shut in down cause there were too many people outside, than Joey says the man who helped him with his flow, "Greg N.I.C.E" from Nice and Smooth came out and was energetic as hell, that dude is nuts, than Joey hit em with Slick Rick and the crowd again was crazy, Rick jewels were crazy, but Joey wasnt finished, he says everyone keeps saying why is he always down south he says cause its love down there and than you hear it "Every Day Im Hustlin" Rick Ross comes out and hammers the crowd, Funk Flex was on the wheels and it was defenitly a great night for Hip Hop in the place where it all started

I don't think people understand the difference between having KOCH as your distributor and signing to a major label like Def Jam. KOCH isn't even a record company, Fat Joe made and paid for his album up front independently. Well probably not entirely by himself, but through some primarily independent means. So he paid for his studio time, security, videos, etc. The typical album budget is around $3-4 million.

So independently Fat Joe probably got around $7 bucks per album, because an album sells wholesale for $8 dollars. Then the distributor (KOCH) takes their cut, around 10%, and then Fat Joe keeps the rest. He has to pay back all that shit by himself though. He has to do all the marketing for the album by himself.

Rick Ross on the other hand, gets a big advance check at the beginning of his project, probably around $750k or so, and then the album paid for all his security, videos, studio time, food, hotels, all that shit. The different is he only gets royalties on the project, around 12%. So like a dollar an album. That 12% percent has to pay back the ENTIRE album budget, including the advance check. So he needs to sell like a million records before he recoups anything. Ross however gets to keep that $750k advance check no matter what.

If Elephant in the Room doesn't sell at least 300k though, he's gonna be owing some people some money himself. Or at least Terror Squad records is going to owe, and by Terror Squad Records I mean the desk that Fat Joe keeps in his garage.

Ross kill'd the hard tracks and the production is on point. But anyone else feel like I don't need lovey/bust a nut songs from Ricky? Ewww.

Also agree - Polow is a BEAST on Production but needs to keep his ass out of the booth and out of Magazines. No doubt promo is super important but he comes off way too tough and slimey... I believe you but I'm just saying. Respect to your beats.

Joe you tried but unless it's a collabo you lose... You're fell into the Ja Rule trap 50 set up. Now you're a joke.

Snoop you lost by ditching Dre. You don't need him? I would have copped the album if I knew there was a Dre Banger. Otherwise I treat that like a No Limit release.

Rappers learn your spot and rep hard - the public will follow that more that the "hop on what's hot for TRL/106".

I fucks with ross..All that andre 3000 shit snoop was doin on this album, come on ?? I don't know why people though snoop was gon outsell Ross..Sensual seduction was a club song..that shit wasn't gon sell no albums.."The boss" is a monster right now..If he woulda stuck with "speeding" as the single to intro his album,he wouldn't have moved as many units..But he did the right thing,Plus the other 2 hottest joints(maybach music and luxury tax) were leaked on the internet..U can say Def Jam bought records if u want,I'd say, they pushed the right music to get people interested

Congrats to ROSSSSSS. But Snoop Doggs place in hip-hop is cemented. I think BOSS is crackin right now, and Here in L.A. Sensual seduction Wasn't recived as well by the hardcore snoop fans as much as the pop or top 40 fans. But they both made good albums so you cant go wrong either way

I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY PEOPLE ALWAYS SAY THAT THE LABEL BOUGHT BACK ALBUMS.

FOR WHAT???

WOULDN'T THAT BE COUNTER PRODUCTIVE SEEING AS IT WOULD COST MORE TO BUY THEM BACK???

ESPECIALLY IN THIS CLIMATE WHERE MONEY IS TIGHT.

AGAIN, FOR WHAT???

TO KEEP APPEARANCES???

THAT WOULD BE THE ONLY REASON (FOR A GUY ON THE OUTSIDE LOOKING IN AT LEAST)...........AND A RETARDED REASON AT THAT.
