More G-Unit Mixtapes. Yeah.. I said it. But here’s the thing… when 50 and crew were dropping serious mixtapes, not these crap ass lollipop magic stick strictly for bitches who know nothing about rap but just want to fuck rappers albums, they brought a certain fire to the game that caused their peers to get inspired. Rap needs that hunger back.

Nas responded with an attack on Jay-Z during a radio freestyle over Eric B. & Rakim’s “Paid In Full” beat, dissing most of the R.O.C. members — specifically, Jay-Z, Freeway, Memphis Bleek, and Beanie Sigel. Initially, the freestyle was untitled but was later called “Stillmatic”, perhaps aimed to promote his new album Stillmatic (It is also called “H To The Omo” as a direct reference to Jay-Z’s song “Izzo (H.O.V.A.)”). This freestyle contained the rhyme “Is he H to the izzo, M to the izzo? / Fashizzle, you phonie, the rapper version of Sisqó.” Jay-Z may have inspired this track not only with his Summer Jam performance, but also with his 1998 track “Is That Yo Bitch?” which alludes to Jay-Z sleeping with Carmen Bryant, the mother of Nas’ daughter.

Then he leaves the house that love built
That HUD renovated, that section 8 pays for
Well let’s pray for him, let the beat play for him
Put his struggles on display for him
Cause he gotta go and face the drama
With a different face from the one that he use to face his mama
If you look close
You’ll see it consist of a smile that hurts, a ice grill, and a trace of trauma
Low beard of his father, and other criterion
That’s no different from a young Liberian
In Mecca named Miriam [?], weary in the inner city, out of his mind
Literally reconciliate
I’m cool, I don’t foretell best
I ain’t nicest emcee, I ain’t Cornel West
I am Cornel Westside, Chi-town Guevara
Malcolm exercised the demons, gangsta leanin’
He traded in his Kufi for a New Era
Chose a 44 over a mortar board
I ain’t an accredited instituted graduate, I ain’t from Nazareth
My conception wasn’t immaculate, I ain’t master no calculus
A good addition to the rap audience
I back-flipped on the mattress they slept on me on
Without Joe - knowing is half the battle
Fighting temptation, have a apple
Shake the snakes, pimp the system
Let’s get into it, tabernacle

Not that fans and people couldnt get past the fact that I’m white…but the fact that not ewverybody is cut out to be a rapper…simple as that. Just like the fact that I could never in a million years be a horse jockey…I’m just to big-boned! lol.

Giving a rapper more video wont make their albums sell.
How can you be surprised that snoop got outsold by Rick Ross?
Rick Ross still has buzz, Snoop has no buzz, his aura has worn off due to how long he has been in the game. Plus Rick Ross’s music in the region most dominated by Rap. It’s all in the numbers. A south artist will outsell a westcoast artist in this day and Age.
Lyrics are an additive to Music. Lyrics do not sell, and Never have sold. More importantly, Lyrics do not generate interest alone. The musicality of the Music is what interest’s the people.
Lyrics ran its course. Voice, emotion, and swagger, is what defines an Artist’s popularity/ Musical abilities.

Sensual Seduction cannot make up 60,000 copies.
^^^
Another no-sign. That joint was a phenomenon when it dropped, especially when the vid cam a week later. I think if Snoop had dropped in Jan, he wouldve cleared 250. But we can agree to disagree on this one.
***
He would have to drop two back to back hot singles to clear 250,000. Snoop was lucky what he sold this time around with sensual seduction. Timing could have helped about 20-40k, but not much after all that. Snoop is on the decline as far as album sales anyway, so even with the bad timing, sensual seduction helped him sold more. The +/- factor benefits the hit single more than the actual timing. Meaning he gained more off that song than he lost due to the bad timing.
