the fact is this….everything is cyclical

whether you call this “hipster rap” or not, it will, just like everything else, come and go….
the point of music/art/anything creative is to inspire discussion…that’s how you create longevity and keep yourself relevant. so now it’s up to Tanya Morgan to continue to put that music out there to keep people talking and decide whether they want to create their own niche or be a part of someone else’s niche….i wish them the best of luck in this crazy industry

I aint sayin you closeminded if you dont like it…I’m sayin to the cats that prejudge and talk shit even before they listen to the music and the skills, they just see some dudes with some glasses (which are nerdy I guess…unless the dude really has to wear them joints for a good reason like…to see!) and some weird clothes/fashion sense and they assume man they wack, they suck, now thats some bullshti to me…see what I’m sayin.

I’m happy the industry is dead and nobody’s really selling records in rap anymore

2006 saw a nice amount of platinum albums

2007 saw maybe 3 platinum rap albums and a lot of gold albums

2008: no one will reach gold by the end of they year. at all. except MAYBE Eminem if he drops.

cats is starting to see that rap aint easy money no more, and dudes will start putting their all into their music. or atleast trying to prove that they make good music. people been saying for a while that it’ll come full circle, come back to being about the art
