Gnarls Barkley Album in Stores Now
Yeah, so you know that Gnarls Barkley album that was supposed to drop April 8? Well, it dropped today. The label decided to push it up three weeks after it leaked early. I guess it’s funny to see music industry people thinking on their feet, instead of sitting around with their thumbs up their asses for two weeks while the album spreads across the globe. Of course it’s still too late. The damage has already been done. If they wanted to nip the leak in the bud, they should’ve dropped it the day after it hit the internet.
On another note, what’s the deal with releasing (and charging for) videos on iTunes in this day and age? It’s 2008, a Lupe Fiasco video has been out for several hours, and I have yet to see it? What part of the game is this exactly? I know, this is just the industry trying its best to, you know, actually make money, but this shit is getting tedious. Who wants to purchase a music video they’ve never seen before? What if it sucks? Videos should only be purchased after you have viewed them free of charge and deemed them dope enough to warrant additional views on an iPod. Sheesh.
