[...] L.A. Times reporter Chuck Philips and his supervisor, deputy managing editor Marc Duvoisin, have both issued apologies over what now appears to be a completely erroneous report on the 1994 shooting of Tupac Shakur. Questions about the report, which implicated Diddy and Jimmy Henchmen in Pac’s ambush, started to arise yesterday after the Smoking Gun published an article questioning Philips’ source documents. Philips said he sought to check the authenticity of the documents with the U.S. attorney’s office in New York, which had handled the investigation of the attack on Shakur, and with a retired FBI agent, but did not directly ask the FBI about them. The U.S. attorney’s office declined to comment, while the former FBI agent said the documents appeared legitimate, Philips said. [...]

Blood Meridian= GOAT gnostic western novel. Probably one of the best books ever written in the English language. Ridley Scott can't do it justice. The dude who made The Proposition would have shot the lights out.

That Stallone flick , I think it got made as Hollywood Homicide with Harrison Ford and Josh Hartnett. The book (LAbyrinth) was a piece of Fox news crap.

LAWeekly has some good articles about the whole thing. Google it.

I have to disagree with the folks that said they don't see Diddy going hard like that. To get to where he is in the record business, you have to be at least a little bit cut throat and ruthless. Diddy is all about the bottom line: Money.

Not to discredit the charity shit he's done...and Unforgivable smells good as a motherfucker...but yeah. I wouldn't put it past him. It's not like this is the only violent incident he's been linked to.

and they sayin Blood Meridian has a film adaptation for 2009…directed by Ridley Scott…bet!

sorry in my own world right now.

^^^
how was that book compared to No Country…

^^^
well I havent read No Country, but I heard No Country is a lil easier to read altogether than Blood Meridian. Blood Meridian is one of those books you gotta take some real serious time with and pay attention to details( theres also alot of historical facts, places, people and events that have really happened in the book) and such. its a real extensive, and I have heard from other people to that it can be at times dense and sometimes difficult to read (which I do agree I had to put it down and then come back to it a few times) becuase its one of those books you really got to pay close attention to...but it it an great adventure to read.

Rember when Stallone was producing a movie about all this fuckery? He was going to play Russel Poole, the detective that solved the murders and couldnt get any arrests because so many of the involved had direct ties to the LAPD.

^yup, you know when Politics, Gangsta life and Cinema merge, its given that theres going to be some resistence. But if it ever gets made, it will be a classic. I dont know too much about Sly Stallone behind the lens though. Would much more rather someone like Brian De Palma, Oliver stone combo.
