50 woulda never sold 10 million back to back without being heavly associated with Eminmen (and Dre, but not as much)… 50 woulda probably sold 1 milion and been a platinum artist, still been succesfull business wise, but no way would he got that many fans..atleast i don’t think so

50 inheirted millions of Eminmem fans, but at the same time he came out with a different style, and made his own mark and established himself as his own artist independent of Em & Dre… so 50 gets alot of credit in that aspect…

none of his commerical singles/hits have featured Em and Dre…

I dont think rap will be able to sustain itself throughout time…It’s a relatively new phenomenon of soundmaking and speech patterns, and its focus is always on the present…I’m just not sure if it has staying power…We make fun of old rappers and no one wants to hear a 60 year old rapper, because it’s cringe worthy…..

We gotta cultivate rap to where its sustainable, and possess a long life form…so far right now Jay-z is only able to do that…The content is a barrier for its sustainability also…Imagine a 50-60 year old uncle murder talking about “bullet bullet”.

And Im still waiting for a major rapper like 50, Jay-Z, Em, etc to feature a UK artist in a commerical hit, to blow them up… 50 has hinted towards that in the past, but said he hasn’t come across the right artist or whatever…

but i think it would be big for any of those artists to make a move like that, it would expand and grow hiphop even more… It should happen soon…

Funny you say that…Cos Hollow Man’s ends & my ends have been at war for a LOOOOOOONNNNNG time, but his music gets bumped in my borough. Thats how I know his buzz is serious (on a road level anyway).

My thoughts on Regional Music:

2nd line dance music>go-go> zydeco>screw music>New orleans>Bmore club

Bmore club music, is trash….that shit sounds like a sped up tetris game…

New orleans bounce is trash…every beat sounds the same, the only thing good is hoes is shaking they asses ALL the time throughout the music…

Go-go= Festival music, with the drum and reggae sounds…Its pretty good

Zydeco= decent, polka and jazz mixed with blue grass…It has a good mix, and good sound….kind of look gumbo…kids through adults can enjoy it….

Screw music= It’s alright for somethings but damn, I feel like I’m in a motherfucking haunted house and trance if I listen to it too long..

Hyphy= clown music
Crunk= played out…

2nd line dancing=…Illest music in the world….The live instrumentation and the tuba keeping the beat steady is crazy…ANYBODY can get down to this music….ranges across all races, ages and creed…

Chicago stepping=cool, but Im not practicing some dance steps just so I can do it at the club….too much work….I just wanna feel on some booty..

Forgot to mention that 2nd line dancing= A live waltz/jazz band with an upbeat tempo, that walks down the street and anyone can join….Like a your schools marching band but not as uniform and a whole lot better, and you can march/step on the field with them

Bhangra= Different but cool…..The drum pattern is a medium to high speed uptempo, with the use of bongo type drums and alladin music…Some of the variations invoke different moods but the pattern is relativity the same…

Definitely better than Bmore club, but it matches its intesity as far us the upbeat tempo….The dance moves are similar to michael jackson 80′s dances, though I did see them doing a souljah boy move, in a more military type of way….Dance moves are like the Praise n worship dances that you might catch at baptist church…(I dont attend baptist churches)

Hollow Man is dope Rigga no doubt but regardless of which endz you rep in my opinion K-Lash aka 47 Spray is definitely one of the most talented UK artists out right now and the fact that he can make a cohesive album (Lionheart) with crazy mixtapes (Focus Mode) on the side makes him a brother to check for in my opinion. I reckon he’d do alright in the US.
