***He’s definitely a talented actor, but his rap career is pure hilarity, to me…WTF is a “funky bunch”?

  37. Mark Twain Fame Says:

so all you Wire fans…did you guys like that alst episode…I migth ahve to finally give in and start watching…ha.

  38. Mark Twain Fame Says:

idk Ike…they get funky and they always together…like a “bunch”?…ha.

  39. ish Says:

“75 Bars” and “Get Busy” were obviously design to weaken the blow of this syrupy crap. The Roots usually come with not-so-contrived commercial joints. “You Got Me” and “Break You Off” were dope and still had appeal. This is pretty miserable. It’s The Roots’ take on the Gym Class Heroes.

  40. RL Says:

    This song sucks…

  41. Da Says:

    this is good

  42. khal Says:

while this song makes sense and works on a few levels, i cant get into it.

  43. Maurice Garland Says:

    oooooooof!

  44. fakerthanfake Says:

nope. should’ve stuck to the gully street singles.

  45. Richie Cunning Says:

Good idea for a single. Really. Great. Sounds like it should be on “The Hills”.

  46. biko baker Says:

this song is wack..i love the roots last album. they should stay with that hard core shit…this might be a good summer song,,,but they will need a video

  47. RAT JIZZ Says:

wow this song is fucking corny

  48. Manna Says:

There’s a few things you have to expect from a Roots album, whatever else they put on it: (1) a minimal, extended Black Thought freestyle; (2) an old skool homage (possibly as a hidden track) ; (3) a few eyebrow-raising collaborations; and (4) a radio-friendly unit-shifter which loyal fans like to pretend didn’t happen (Break You Off anyone?).

Nos. 3 & 4 right here. It’s not a bad track, but it ain’t gonna find its way onto my iPod. Thought just about holds it together with a decent lyrical turn.
