^that is the most reasonable sounding backassward shit i’ve ever seen actually written out. there are gaping holes (umm, no) in that argument and gaping holes in your perception of things. you sound like thesell out cat in the matrix who knew the steak was an illusion but said fuck it. it tastes like steak.
first, most people who choose to be entrepenuers dont actually have the choice. economic need is generally what pushes people to be their own bosses. and most people have to do both. work for the white man who will make in tem minutes the same money you will make that year and then foster your dreams in the little time and money he spares you. because you are educated and your cage is guilded, don’t mean it ain’t a cage.
second, if black people were to collectively say we should stop working for the white man and get our own – the way the jewish, italians, east indians and every other sensible ethnic group did – america would come churning to a halt. this country feeds on black creativity, energy and dynamicism like a massive blood-sucking tick. I didn’t particularly care for AG but that line is truth.

maybe so….i guess you get used to Jay-Z rappin in one direction, that when he tries to step out the box, you don’t connect as much…which ain’t right…but sometimes that’s how it is…

†NOTORIOUS, the screen version about the life of rapper Christopher Wallace a.k.a. The Notorious B.I.G., will begin on March 24, 2008 in and around the five boroughs of New York. The film stars multiple award winner Angela Bassett as Christopher’s mother Voletta Wallace, Derek Luke as Sean Combs, Anthony Mackie as Tupac Shakur and introducing Jamal [Gravy] Woolard as The Notorious B.I.G. …George Tillman Jr. is set to direct…

that’s that mentality that’s killing our community
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
Your right but for the wrong reasons. smh, the rest of the post was borderline bullshit. Killing our community? gtfoh..seriously. There are other far more important issues killing our community. Your right on the part that some black folks always consider working for “the man” degrading or self depreciating while I say nothing wrong with it, everyone got to work for someone unless your at the very top of the chain. Regardless you’ll have tons of fellow white coworkers working good phd/master’s degree level positions and they too work under someone too. I agree with that, ain’t nothing wrong with having a white boss at whatever company/good job etc. No need to turn it into some racially degrading shit.
But how did you even tie this shit into entrepreneurship? WTF, I commend people who are entrepreneurs because they really have to get shit going from the ground up and the majority of times they don’t have other opportunities that other thigns or whatever may afford them so it’s basically put your all in and hope whatever you put your money in doesn’t fold. How is that mentality killing our community. Far from it.. LOL. Chea you a funny dude I swear you just post funny bullshit for the sake of posting funny bullshit. You were prolly snickering when you typed that shit up. Fucking comedic genius you are.

No lie, “reasonable doubt” is the best rap album I ever heard, all around, topic wise, beat wise, lyric wise, period, & i’ma Pac stan.
I love illmatic & Ready to die, but they sound like some early 90′s (the loud screaming in R2D, the beats, the flows, etc) but if a nigga dropped a reasonable doubt in this day it would still be a classic, w/o the sales to back it up, just like back in the day
Reasonable Doubt, classic, should’ve went triple – G.O.A.T

After 13 years as the wealthiest person in the world, Microsoft’s co-founder drops to third place, behind the Oracle of Omaha and Mexico’s Carlos Slim Helú. Buffett and Gates are the only Americans in the top 10.
what’s with all these mixtape rappers signing to majors and expecting to turn into a rapstar overnight?
sign to indy, tour your ass off and build a fanbase. make money with dope merch. sell cd’s at your concerts. rape the internet for marketing. work on your craft and offer guest verses for free.
im not a pro but that’s how i would do it.
i’ve never seen any nyc mixtape cats touring europe except pap and his live show sucks.
meanwhile, cats like smiff’n'wessun, o.c., masta ace, etc. build their little independet empire and travel across the world and make more money and have more fun all the while. is the young generation just lazier or what’s the deal?

^Yeeeeeeah… I peeped them before. I think eskay posted their video last month. I thought it was pretty dope. Are they 5%? When I workin’ with PCutta, this cat named Uni from Rochester worked there and his company was called U-N-I Can Make It Happen. No relation to the dude rappin’, but it definitely seem like he’s on some NGE ish.
i dont know about them being 5%ers, do they even exist out there? funny how it’s the early 90s in reverse now, with b’s and c’s on the east coast and blu, pac division and them in cali…

mark my words, cali will blow up this year, but it aint gonna about the g’s and the hustlaz
^I agree on both counts. Me and BKScribe was just sayin’ how Cali is buildin’ up steam again, both L.A. and The Bay. Shit is crazy how it’s goin’ in reverse because back then the West Coast couldn’t get it together because it was too much internal beef. Now, Pac Div is my favorite group. It was crazy how I caught their video on accident after that Pete Rock vid eskay put up. Their mixtape is lava. They went in over some old school beats. So I guess that mean East Coast gotta go back underground/indie and restore the foundation again while the West Coast about to take over the internet and live shows.

“he didn’t own his own company, white man owned it. so they owned him.â€
that’s that mentality that’s killing our community

I love illmatic & Ready to die, but they sound like some early 90′s (the loud screaming in R2D, the beats, the flows, etc) but if a nigga dropped a reasonable doubt in this day it would still be a classic, w/o the sales to back it up, just like back in the day
Reasonable Doubt, classic, should’ve went triple – G.O.A.T

what’s with all these mixtape rappers signing to majors and expecting to turn into a rapstar overnight?
sign to indy, tour your ass off and build a fanbase. make money with dope merch. sell cd’s at your concerts. rape the internet for marketing. work on your craft and offer guest verses for free.
im not a pro but that’s how i would do it.
i’ve never seen any nyc mixtape cats touring europe except pap and his live show sucks.
meanwhile, cats like smiff’n'wessun, o.c., masta ace, etc. build their little independet empire and travel across the world and make more money and have more fun all the while. is the young generation just lazier or what’s the deal?
