But yeah, those 3 ninjas got to beefin’ over Toni Braxton. It go so personal to a point that they had to get traded before it got outta hand. That’s the REAL reason (from what I heard) as to why they got split up. And that kinda makes sense because if I was the GM for the Mavericks back then, there’s no way I’m givin’ up those caliber of players that easily.

I don’t think people within the industry care. I think people in the industry care that they don’t lose they job. I think they care how their particular record is charting or how many ringtones it’s selling. But I don’t think people in the industry actually care about the integrity of the music. If they did, you’d be hearing Glasses Malone’s song nationwide now; you wouldn’t only be hearing it in LA. Because that song is potent. It has Akon on the hook, Toomp did the beat, and Glasses is spitting ridiculously. But you’ll probably getting another version of a crank song. And that’s no disrespect to anybody in particular, but that’s saying that if this was 1993 right now, this is the equivalent of 69 Boyz being heralded above OutKast. Think about what I just said. No disrespect to the 69 Boyz, but if this was 1993, “Whoomp! There It Is” and “Tootsie Roll,” all that shit is being taken more seriously than Southernplayalistic and Soul Food. As much as I fucks with Jean, I think she’s content with being on the underground circuit. And the way the industry is shifting back to grassroots it’s actually workin’ in her favor. For a lot of these MC’s, signing to a major just wouldn’t be in their best interest. She done dropped 4 albums independently already with a shitload of mixtapes. And now she signed to Talib’s label. That’s probably the best route for someone like her. Mainstream aint tryin’ to embrace no lyrical heffas who aint showin’ some ass & titties. Those Queen La/Monie/Lyte days are over. I dont know fam….I think Blue is more of a product from those hot beats of Exile…
Dont get me wrong Blu is good, and below the heavens was fire….But again I’ve heard PLENTY of Blu’s in my lifetime….I never really Head a lupe before, and He has a lot more staying power than Blu cause he is able to update his style and formula to keep it current…

Cops in Georgia arrested a 17-year-old boy on Friday and charged him with killing his mother, who was a local sheriff’s deputy, and his two small sisters. One of those little girls was the daughter of rapper Juvenile.
Anthony Tyrone Terrell Jr. allegedly gunned down his mother, Gwinnett County Sheriff’s Deputy Joy Deleston, 39, and her two daughters, Micaiah, 11, and Jelani, 4.
Jelani was Juvenile’s daughter. In 2003, the rapper, whose real name is Terius Gray, was arrested for abandonment of a dependent child after a DNA test determined he was the father.
Terrell, a sophomore at Central Gwinnett High School, has been charged with three counts of murder and three counts of aggravated assault. He is currently being held in the DeKalb County Jail.
A rep from Atlantic Records had no comment.

I see what you are saying about Blu working with Exile. I think they should continue to work together because that’s when he sounds the best to me.
Lupe is nice too. I agree he has a better chance to be around longer because he has larger mainstream appeal, but Blu is more relatable to me. I could understand Blu’s struggles (even if they were exaggerate) and liked his lay back style on Below the Heaven.
Plus, I’m not listening to the Cool anymore and I can still listen to Below the Heavens today.
