I can co-sign everything you said, cause it’s the truth, the machine does force feed there creations on us, & that was what I was tryna speack on, when something keeps getting hyped up, from rap artist, to movies, to a women looks, you tend to build youself up to hear, or see the greatest thing since sliced bread, your expectation are so high that when you finally do see it, your dissapointed, but does that still take away from the overall package? Now, when people (myself included) see or hear something everywhere they go they get tired of it, that ultimatly grows into hatred towards it, well maybe not full blown hate, but you get tired of it, & in due time you’ll turn away from what the masses praise. Everybody like the Bulls back in the day, but it was always that one dude in that lil ass corner like “fuck jordan, he aint that nice” knowing he’s lying to himself, but he hates it because everyone loves it, that’s the only point I was tryna make, if beyonce wasn’t on TV wasn’t a star & wasn’t adored by millions, I would still look at her the same way, some might not, but hey, there followers so there opinion never counts anyway. ^I think that it is unfair to place one person’s preference over another. Lets call a spade a spade because we know that you’re referring to landLORD. I agree that money has a taste in women that isn’t popular with the masses (on the low, I’d smash all the chicks he named), but on whom’s scale is that being measured? I’m not here to defend Land because he is his own person, but I do agree that we often want people to suscribe to general ideology of what’s attractive and what’s not. To counter your arguement, how does one perceive beauty to be great if it’s being masked by something not natural, i.e. makeup? I made a blog about this that was posted on Duepayer and my Myspace blog. I wouldn’t place Fantasia about Beyonce either, but that’s just MY preference. However, I can name a dozen other chicks that are just as popular that no one would consider “better looking.”

Since we’re on this road, lets be honest: Beyonce, along with many other pop females that the corporations push on us, is just another lightskinned, weave-rockin’, makeup-masked female that is supposed to be the idol of young Black girls. Regardless of the lack of parenting that comes with this stigma, the overall PURPOSE of them (corporate Amerikkka) doing so is to sell to us (and whites) what Black beauty is supposed to look like. Now we have hundreds of thousands of Nubian women who spend millions (collectively) a year to cover up their faces, hide their blemishes, and be ashamed of what they are NATURALLY. I’ve seen Beyonce “unmasked”, and honestly… NOT IMPRESSED. There are Black women who attend my school who wear little to no makeup (because they’re at school so much) who make Beyonce look like the average white-washed chick that she is. We need to stop the idolatry and just let it be. This heffa got a team of people that she pay THOUSANDS of dollars annually to make her look like that: hair stylists, makeup artists, designers, etc. Hell, if the average 9-to-5 Black woman had that kind of access to those people they’d look like that too… and probably 10x “better”, IF… that’s what you deem as “better looking.”

To bring it back into perspective, as a man… yeah, I’d hit Beyonce. All of us wood. In a back alley. In December. With our pants around our ankles. In the day time. And sunglasses on…

But we NEED to get rid of this false perception of what beauty is and dig deeper into ourselves and realize that many of those who worship trophies probably got their own insecurities.
