So they shoot this, but no videos for Fallin or Say Hello? Nah right?
Props to Gooch and MTV’s Sucker Free blog for the heads up on this. I would’ve loved to post their version, but Universal continues to play the ‘no embedding’ game.

I aint did this in a while (no gettin’ some after a drought)…
The Origin of the So-Called “Oscar”
The oscar winner award statue is actually based on the ancient egyptian god Ptah (pronounced “taw”) who in the Memphite theology was the master craftsman that brought forth everything in existence. Ptah was the primal deity, the first of all the gods, creator of the world and all that is in it. He is said to have sculpted the gods, and created all living things. Egyptian art depicts Ptah as a tall bearded man with a tightly fitting cap and ornate garments, and he is shown holding the “was” scepter, the symbol of the divine, and a symbol for life, stability, and power that is combined together in the Ankh. It is interesting how little known the Egyptian inspiration for the Oscar statue award trophy truly is.

I didnt think “I Know” was single worthy either, but it got added to rotation of DC radio stations like two months ago. The people have spoken.
“Say Hello” was my favorite track when I first copped the CD, but it just didn’t have staying power in my player. “Party Life” is the best song on the album. It’s the sound (thematically at least) that he was going for on Kingdom Come but couldnt’ quite pull off. “No Hook” and “Sweet” get doper by the day.

And no, BIG’s drive was nothing like Jay’s. But then again, Jay’s natural MCing talent is nowhere close to BIG’s.
I tell people all the time, the best argument for hiphop isnt, “Who’s the greatest MC of all time?â€, its actually “Who’s the 2nd greatest MC of all time?â€
Just his voice will rattle your fucking speakers.
^^Co-siggity. Biggie’s voice was an instrument.
‘Niggas in my faction don’t like asking questions
Strictly gun testing, coke measuring

Hitting fanny, spendin chips at Manny’s
Hope you creeps got receipts, my peeps get dirty like cleats

You cant say ANYONE is the best off two albums
^^^
Why?? Hendrix and Cobain only had two albums. Hathaway only had three. Quality over quanity right??
If not for Ready to Die (and Cuban Linx to an extent), Jay would have kept rapping like a Fu-Shnicken. True talk.
_______________________________________________________
Exactly my point, when people die, all of a sudden the heralded as the greatest person at whatever they did…Conservatives call Ronald Regan the best president and now they are reganites, now that he is dead.
Plus hendrix and curtcobain have nothing to do with hip hop….
Rap is like Ball…Can you call someone the greatest after two seasons?
Let’s say Jay stopped rhyming like the fu after big dropped, reasonable doubt is still better than ready to die.

what facts? two albums?….That are not even in the top 5….Ready to die was full of singles, Life after death was good but as a whole it wasnt that tight….1 out of every 2 songs was good.

Dumb fucks were saying Reagan was the best long before he died. That’s just some history.
And if my analogy to rock stars doesn’t work for you, how can you compare this to sports.
If the only two albums you dropped happen to be two of the best hip hop albums ever, if 90% of hip hop listeners know all the words to your singles (at least the singles, if not album cuts), if you transformed hip hop stylitically and thematically in ways that are apparent 11 years later, and if you’re the guy that wrote “I Got a Story To Tell” I dont think you’d need to make to or three albums to prove your the greatest. There’s enough in your arsenal already.
And if two classic albums isnt enough, how many is? Sure Nas and Jay released more LP’s but do either have more than two classics? I’d say no. So they’re still even with BIG on classic material.

First off Big doesnt Have Two classic albums…..Let’s be serious, saying his albums are done out of respect and its the trendy thing to say for hip-hoppers…
Really what niggas are quoting mad lines off Ready to die, I have NEVER heard anyone say that they keep life after death in Constant rotation in the whip, and not many people are going back listening to ready to die, very good albums yes classics no…
Never said that Big wasnt one of the Best, I’m saying people are just as emotional about Big as they are Pac.
Fact remains people call big the Goat outta respect for his death.

There was definitely more than 2 filler songs- A LOT more than 2 and if you have ANY filler joints on an album is not a classic, good yes, but not classic……Life after death is an average album….

Like I said puff’s imprint was on Big’s Albums…Big could flow outta his ass and would have been a great MC anywhere else, But my main hypothesis was that I dont believe big would have fared as good longevity wise….
It takes more than just talent, to be great….I just believe outside circumstances would have prevented BIG to go on a JAY-like run.
