^Church is an ego booster for a lot of people…being a pastor or holding a position in the church gives otherwise nobodies an identity. All of a sudden they are holier than thou and have this huge persona. They feel like they are part of this inner circle that you aren’t in. People, especially the black community, can take church and religion too far. I believe it is a personal thing. I worship my God the way I want to and I am good no matter what anyone says.

^^^True to a certain extent..all preachers are are mostly glorified book readers..If he/she is reading from a scripture and she says “The Lord says so n so” then thats acceptable cause she merely quoting scriptures..but if he/she says ” Theres some hoes in the congregation today” then that could be considered out of bounds and most people in the congregation hate that cause they know they just came from the club drinkin and fornicating to Rick Ross songs. Thats when people in the congregation start to say ” oh but she got 3 kids out of wedlock” and start to look for ways to assasinate the character of the messenger….it’s human nature.
