Larry Davis Killed in Prison

Legendary New York street figure and frequent vehicle of rap metaphors Larry Davis was murdered in prison yesterday.
Larry Davis was stabbed to death around 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at Shawangunk Correctional Facility in Ulster County, said Erik Kriss, spokesman for the New York State Department of Correctional Services.
"I don’t know what was happening at this exact moment," Kriss said, adding that prison staff were in the yard when a fight was observed and inmates began congregating. "Things happen quickly."
Davis was fatally stabbed with a homemade metal shank in the arms, head, back, upper thigh and chest, Kriss said.

@ Ether- I’ve never heard Mase preach, but I’ve seen the hilarious promos…I’m not a religious person, at all, but I almost literally grew up in the church- I still check out the TD Jakes and Joel Osteens of the world (sp?) and their telecasts, whenever I come across them- preachers may be full of bullshit and unabashed greed/manipulative exploitation for the most part, but they’re excellent in relaying life lessons and motivation….

As far as Ma$e is concerned, my PERSONAL experience has led me to believe that there are so many charlitans and demagogues posing as the Lord’s spokesmen and women, I have a hard time givng them respect in that light. If you read the Bible with ANY amoutn of common sense, you should be able to decifer what is parable, what is guideline and what is truth. I can do that myself so I DAMN sure ain’t gonna pay (so callled tithing)anotha muffukka to give me his perspective. Organized religion is BIG business. Alot of folks are fooled and misled.

^not saying that at all. Most of our preachers and pastors out here today did some “Backsliding” in their day and because of that they are able to give a good sermon…they draw from experience and can give real testimonials. My issue with Pastor Bethea is that he stopped in the middle of his calling and returned to Murder Mase with all of the cursing and video hoes all around him. Good for him if he realized that he couldn’t really go back to that lifestyle and returned to his congregation, but my question is how many times is he gonna be allowed to do that and we can just say he’s human…he makes mistakes…we fall down, but we get up and drop $20 in his collection plate? We all know LD’s history, so its know coincidence he gets murdered in prison after witnessing the parade they threw for this mans funeral. They didnt throw a parade -and invite every cop division from coast to coast (even Canada) to show up because of their love for this one SWAT member, the parade symbolizes a message that the country is trying to send.

I was arrested by the police in 2003 on a murder conspiracy charge. I had attempted to have an inmate that raped and sodomized my girlfriend’s daughter murdered. Larry davis at that time was housed at the same correctional facility as this inmate and wrote me several letters offering to kill the rapist. Following my arrest the police informed me that Larry Davis was, “Their friend” and was working for them as a RAT in my case. Following my arrest, one of the investigators showed me a dead rat in a trap and asked me if I knew what the significance of it was. I did not answer him even though I knew the answer. The police were obviously trying to get Larry Davis killed. Why else would they tell me that this guy was an informant in my case? While I was incarcerated, I learned that many inmates knew that Larry Davis was a snitch and there were alot of guys that wanted him dead.

Larry Davis allegedly once shot a mother and daughter for fun. They were driving by and the shooter shot them from an overpass and escaped on a motorcycle. Some say that was Davis. Bronx cops knew he was a killer, so they put him to work. They fingered drug houses, Larry went in, killed everyone and stole the dope. Cops put the drugs back on the street and they gave Davis some of the money. Larry Davis worked with corrupt cops, he was their pet. Maybe 10 drug dealers went out this way. That’s why the cops at the scene of the shootout with him didn’t wait for ESU (SWAT team) before going upstairs. The rest is history…he shoots six cops and sparks the biggest manhunt in NYC history, and attorney Kuntsler gets him acquitted in front of a Bronx jury. They got him on another murder and he went upstate. He was not popular in prison, in fact, he didn’t have a friend in the world.
