What some haters don’t wanna acknowledge is how D-Block stole $150k from J-Hood, that was suppossed to go to him and his album. They pocketed that money instead of doing what they were suppossed to with the money.

It makes sense though, the Lox were hungry and broke, so they took the money that was owed to J-Hood and spent it on themselves.

This is what I was referring to…don’t get me wrong, I hope that Dilla’s legend continues to grow as time goes on and the next few generations of hip-hop fans are checking for him the way Reggae heads search for older roots music.

I knew a dude who told me that Dilla was soft…all the music and artists that he produced for were “soft” around the time when Jaylib came out.

Then Dilla passes and he gets on his hypebeast type of shit…wants to cop a “Dilla Changed My Life” shirt ’cause it’s what became cool…but there’s always gonna be people like that I guess.

I just hate when people are followers. Like when they wait for enough people to co-sign an artist before they can admit they feel the music. We should be embracing talented artists while they’re here. I’ve just noticed a lot of awareness towards Dilla lately, not on the ‘net but at clubs and shows where they have Dilla nights…and not all of the love is sincere. Most of it is, but a lot of followers want to fit into that type of crowd. I’m having trouble putting it into words but I definitely co-sign everything you said though biggums

I dont think Dilla REALLY wanted to be famous. Just Blaze said he missed the Black Album because he was dedicated on working with an unknown local artist (I think it was Guilty). Thats crazy.
