Fair enough. musically I’d call ‘em even on a pure visceral enjoyment level. But Hard Knock’s impact at the time and even now mean : Hard Knock Life > Reasonable Doubt.

The picture Reasonable Doubt paints cannot be duplicated or beat IMO, but to each your zone.

With a minor league fitted. I always wanted a pair of S. Dots when they first dropped but they kept sellin’ out. By the way… on Mega’s last video/song…
Take it in Blood and Silent Murder will make you think “why dont i think nas as the greatest again?” then you see him a nigger t-shirt, or remember super ugly, or thumb thru an old source and see a nastradamus ad (which wasnt as bad as everbody made it, but still sub par) and you remember. and you laugh that he almost fooled you again.

Check, & double check, I was dissapointed at mega for that lackluster performance he put on on that song.

^lol, cosign, that’s why I don’t see how people can think NaS is the greatest, he hit his peak in 96′. Not to make this a Jay/NaS day, but Jay-z is IMO still getting better, he always finds a way to reinvent himself, & truthfully, no other rapper has done that period

thats whut I was thinking…ha.
thinking damn homie you got your scale all high and mighty and out of wack…whut is you like some big time celeb or something smashing all bad ass broads and supermodels on the regular.
reasonable doubt is a dope album but make no mistake when it came out a lotta heads, especially those raised on the grimy boot camp, mobb (”no r&b bitch singin on our shit”@havoc) wasnt feeling the “aint no nigga” joint and looked at jay as another one of those shiny jiggy bad boy type artists. i know a lotta dudes that only started listening to RD after they heard the blueprint.
The intro on Kindom come is one of his best also, the one on Vol.3 was sick too “Hova song”
Best intro of all times 2pac “Ambitions as a rider” Everyone can remember the first time they heard that intro, pac whispering to start it off, then the beat drops, that shit was so sick to me, & it still rocks
A 10 I saw her on south beach last summer never got her name. But u give somebody 10 your saying there nobody that looks better niggas acting like I said she was a 5
I thought “Beach Chair” was the best song on Kingdom Come when it first dropped. Now, I’m not sure if there is a “best” song on Kingdom Come at all. Tried listening to it the other day and just couldnt. Didnt think Jay could make an “unlistenalble” album.
With that said, “There’s Been a Murder” = Jay’s most underrated song.
*diddybops into nah with Swag, Temerity and Chutzpah* Yo Whats good bitches! I just wanted to say that I love that Jim Jones Dont Love me No More jawn and what!…….*leaves*

at the WWE ppv last nite, big show came out and called mayweather out. mayweather jumped the barracade and stood toe to toe with this giant guy. so wat was supposed to happen was big show was to kneel on knee, mayweather was gonna punch him a couple times and dip out. well he did that, but he actually broke the dudes nose, it was hilarious. the broken nose wasnt planned
Jim Jones has some dope intro’s too, the joint off his last album & the one before that, the summer joint. Juelz had a classic intro on his first album.
True, shiny suits didnt come out until ‘97, but the image that eventually brought forth shiny suits became crystallized in ‘96. (The Roots “what they do”)

Re-bought Like Water for Chocolate a couple weeks ago. Finally found a CD version with D’Angelo’s “Ghetto Heaven” and not Macy Gray’s. Fucking incredible. The Fela interludes, the story telling, “the 6th sense”, the joint with SV…
doing an album based on hustling and using “concept album†as a cover up is reinventing yourself? i think not. smh.
Sighs, only G7, lol. Not just the AG album, think about how different he came (pause) on the blueprint, he was percived as a womanizer before that album came out, that totally change the way ppl looked at him, or when the black album came out, if all your albums sounds different then yeah, your reinventing yourself, & no 2 Jay-Z albums sound the same
Jim Jones has some dope intro’s too, the joint off his last album & the one before that, the summer joint. Juelz had a classic intro on his first album.
‘
^^^^
Classic? I mean, it was dope, but come on…
________
The only way it’s classic is if he’s speaking in terms of dipset music only
^Well, I thought it was, he gave his heart on that joint, the beat knocked & his flow was great on “one day”, but I see what you mean comparing it to other timeless classics, but I really fuck wit that album, I think it was the best debut album in the last couple years, not a fan of Ju Ju now, but then yeah he was the man (pause)
Nothing Like It is def a canidate for Beanie’s best song. But what are our parameters for intros. The first song on an album? A track actually titled “Intro”. Nothing like it works if we go by the former, but not the latter. Going by first track may just make the field too wide.
Watch it my niggaz, I’m tryin to be calm but I’m gon’ get richer
through any means, with that thing that Malcolm palmed in the picture
Never read the Qu’ran or Islamic scriptures
Only psalms I read was on the arms of my niggaz
Tattooed so I carry on like I’m non-religious
Clap whoever stand between Shawn and figures
True that ease, it is a difference between a intro, & a song that just so happen to be the first song on the album, he could’ve made it just to make it, but whoever controls the tracklist prolly thought that it’s fit good as being the first song, while some songs you know was made to be the intro i:e Dynasty intro, stillmatic intro etc. So I’d say if the song has that intro feel (pause) to it than it can be a canidate.
Niggas/ say its the dawn but i’m superstitious
Shit is as dark as its been/ Nothing has gone as you predicted/
I move with biscuits
Stop the heart of niggas acting too suspicious
This is/ food for thought
You do the dishes

Jim Jones has some dope intro’s too, the joint off his last album & the one before that, the summer joint. Juelz had a classic intro on his first album.

Classic? I mean, it was dope, but come on…
________
The only way it’s classic is if he’s speaking in terms of dipset music only

>Classic? I mean, it was dope, but come on…
^Well, I thought it was, he gave his heart on that joint, the beat knocked & his flow was great on “one day”, but I see what you mean comparing it to other timeless classics, but I really fuck wit that album, I think it was the best debut album in the last couple years, not a fan of Ju Ju now, but then yeah he was the man (pause)

Nothing Like It is def a canidate for Beanie’s best song. But what are our parameters for intros. The first song on an album? A track actually titled “Intro”. Nothing like it works if we go by the former, but not the latter. Going by first track may just make the field too wide.

Bleeks intro on hard knock life is a classic
Bleeks intro on his first album is a classic also

the wack thing is Hov probably never does songs like “A week ago” or “dynasty intro” at concerts/shows…
instead it’s “show me what you got” or “change clothes”….
that’s wack….
atleast 50 does “what up gangsta” & “many men” at his shows…
