If I had a time machine and was only allowed to be somewhere in the past for a half hour, I’da picked being on the set during that episode. He allowed a lot of freedom on that show. That New Jack City scene was the greatest. I wonder if he came up with the idea for that scene.

Yeah, I would never draft a QB as a number 1 pick, cause the odds are unfavorable, and even then if he is not sitting out a year, that’s risky cause then they develop bad habits, word to Akili smith, and Tim couch.

^YOOOOOOOOO… that’s probably the wildest and most uncontained moment on Martin. If I had a time machine and was only allowed to be somewhere in the past for a half hour, I’da picked being on the set during that episode. All of the cast members were tryin’ their best to not laugh… and failed. And you can tell that was the first and only “take” and they just kept rollin’ with it like, “fuck it”. He allowed a lot of freedom on that show. That New Jack City scene was the greatest. I wonder if he came up with the idea for that scene.
And yeah, portable CD players did cost around that much around that time. I mean, shit, that was around ‘93… ninjas still had cassette Walkmans and VCR’s. A Sony Discman was probably at least $275.

Let me give you the behind-the-scenes on that: I reached out to him to do a remix. This was when you know, you couldn’t get to him. But some type of way I got to him. And he said “Aahhhhh……I’ll holla back at you, see me in a week or so.” And I think I went, now…see my memory’s horrible. Think we went back in a week or maybe 2 weeks. And the End result of that was “no.” He wasn’t gonna do it. And then maybe a week later, you on the beat. And you saying “Gimme that beat.” I just tried to give you the beat and you said no. So then it was like alright, what else is there to do? Cuz now I’m just gonna get behind it, and they’re gonna spin it just like they would have spun it If you woulda got on it anyway. So It worked out for me.

@ phoenixxx - no real grudge, I got over it pretty quick, but I was MAD heated when I read that, and I tried to skip it too cause I could tell some sort of spoiler was coming but i caught it out of the corner of my eye and couldn’t help it, obviously it’s whatever now, but THE WIRE is the best show EVER hands down and I love a good TV show/movie, and THE WIRE is one of the best at anyone can get it at any time type shit, it just wasn’t nearly as much fun watching it when I already knew what was coming
and if people are to keep slipping spoilers in here than my next move is to stop coming here and I damn sure don’t want to do that but if I think some ones gonna spoil the wire for me i’m out, so I kindly ask everyone please dont post any spoilers….

Glenn Dorsey is a True beast…He’s working on the Combine right now even though he is a Top 3 Pick…Im not so sure the dolphins will get him, cause I saw on ESPN where the Dolphins were focusing on Landing a quarter back..

Yeah, I would never draft a QB as a number 1 pick, cause the odds are unfavorable, and even then if he is not sitting out a year, that’s risky cause then they develop bad habits, word to Akili smith, and Tim couch.
But I think thats a smart move for the Dolphins cause 1 pick aint gonna help them at all, they basically need a whole Offense.
