Ransom to Drop Street Cinema on BabyGrande

Jersey MC and Joe Budden detractor Ransom is set to drop a project called Street Cinema on Babygrande Records on April 29. I’m not sure if it’s a glorified mixtape or an actual album, but I wonder if he knows that Sporty Thieves already dropped an album with that title. In any event, check out this bold statement:
“I vow by the time it’s all said and done that I will be looked at as one of the most influential artists of all time.”
Wow. I guess confidence is a virtue…

Video treatment for Ransom’s new single:
Ransom kidnaps Joey
the ransom is a recording contract
Ransom walks around jers with Joey ducktaped in his duffel bag
He calls up Jayz, Jay says fuck Joey tell Amalgam to pay the ransom
Ransom threatens to kill joey
Joeys fans sign a petition online and vow not to dload any more of Ransoms music if Joey is harmed
Ransom cuts up Joey’s notebook and sends pieces of it to TMZ
Joeys fans cave in and paypal him each $1 dollar thus equalling the $500 bucks he would have initially made from Street Cinema
The End.

Cruz & Johansson Set for Lesbian Love Scene
Penelope Cruz and Scarlett Johansson are to steam up the big screen in Woody Allen’s new movie - by taking part in a reported lesbian sex scene. The actresses will lock lips and get hot and heavy in Vicky Cristina Barcelona, which also features Cruz’s boyfriend Javier Bardem. According to British tabloid The Sun, Allen’s aiming for one of the most erotic scenes in movie history. A source tells the publication, “People will be blown away and even shocked. Penelope and Scarlett go at it in a red-tinted photography dark room, and the whole scene will leave the audience gasping.”

second, alternate means for distributing music ARE currently being considered… CD’s aren’t the future. the same way we went from tapes to cd’s to digital… cd’s are becoming outdated. do a little reading about information technology.. you’ll learn..

Maybe so…But that just means we’re not in the era of selling that much records anymore…
Labels & Artist were spoiled and thought that boom in the industry would last forever. Now they’re getting back to reality.
Back in the day, people had these sort of sales. But they worked their albums for much longer which balanced it out. Breddahs gravy-train is stopping thats all…

I agree, and I still buy CDs, for the most part, but I undertand why they’re declining…
^^^^
Because Free Music >>>> Paying for music.
Every time.
…But thats not good for artists…
February 12th, 2008 at 2:01 pm
But I cant remember the last time I saw someone BUYING music off the net. People still buy CDs. Even if its only to have something physical to hold [II].
Dudes still buy CDs just to read the Thank You notes…
****That might be the case in the UK, but for real, even if I do buy a CD and it’s dope, I’mma burn it for like at least 3 people, lol…I forgot who said it on here, but

Your average Teenage Rap fan, from Generation I…could most likely be seen going to a Lloyd Banks concert or a Fabolous concert…
Then to be caught at a Joe “Schizophrenic” Budden concert at Rutgers University?
If Joe Budden would throw a Show in Jerz….you’d probably have 10 people there…
A bunch of Budden’s relatives and Rey and TyBiggums all in attendance…

Fam. you can stand in a CD store and see people buying things. There is NO WAY you can SEE someone buying music off the net. It happens in your home when you by yourself… you’re not making any sense right now…
i wish i had the links to the articles about the numbers ringtones (digital downloads) do and bootlegged cd predictions…
cd’s are slowly being phased out… and it’s easy to see…
cd’s get damaged and are cumbersome… a digital file is intangible and can be transferred to many different locations and duplicated in ways.

**Nobody goes to the shows, because they’re (the shows) half assed, overpriced and corny, for the most part- dafuk I look like, paying $75 to see Yung Joc and Jim Jones? GTFOH, lol…In DC, if somebody worthwhile like Lupe, the Roots, ATCQ, Jay, etc. comes thru, it’s an instantaneous sellout, especially if they pick a moderately sized venue…

But the rapper David Banner derides the growing criticism as blacks joining America’s attack on young black men who are only reflecting the crushing problems within their communities. Besides, he says, that’s the kind of music America wants to hear.
“Look at the music that gets us popular — ‘Like a Pimp,’,” says Banner, naming his hit.
“What makes it so difficult is to know that we need to be doing other things. But the truth is at least us talking about what we’re talking about, we can bring certain things to the light,” he says. “They want (black artists) to shuck and jive, but they don’t want us to tell the real story because they’re connected to it.”
