when dude was in chicago he was scrapin like everyone else

then No ID introduced ye to jay and he had some heat so jay put it on his album

other than that minor introduction ye is basically self-made, b

Chea…I’m going to give you a pass because you’re from Chicago….but my comment did make sense.

There are PLENTY of cats that are IMO better than ‘Ye, especially lyrically. If it wasn’t for Kanye’s accident he wouldn’t have even been on the radar as a rapper (see: Through the Wire)….even Jay thought he sucked.

I’m not saying he’s wack — but his image sold him.

Kanye West was just in the right place at the right time. There are plenty of artists that are â€œbetterâ€ than him, that wonâ€™t get the same opportunity (or gain the same connects) that he had.
