I agree that the industry is down, but its not all their fault. Hip hop fans are so fickle. A hiphop artist can go gold even plat consecutively a few times then all of a sudden their core fans are the ones downloading their most recent album. Hip hop fans take as much blame. Alicia Keys and Mary J Blige are doing ridiculous weekly numbers, but our favourite hip hop artists today, not so much(c) borat.

Not true at all. Labels are like the mob in a way. Even the fucking US government cant make them do anything (like change the mechanical rates and trust theyve tried). They come together and say shit like: “Nobody sign a nigga unless he’s giving us his masters for a recording fund.” If aint nobody playing fair it dont leave niggaz with many options, especially if you dont have the money to invest in yourself to get your music made and heard.
